It DOES have sensitivity tuning, but Garnett is saying it's just not quite like COD4's. Regardless, it's such a minute issue it's not even worth mentioning. Just turn it up, and it's perfect.

He did say KZ2 would disappoint, but I don't think it's for the same reason you are thinking of. KZ2 has been shown at all of Sony's major conferences.
Late last year they had a podcast talking about which games would end up disappointing, and a bunch of people said KZ2....and I distinctly remember Garnett chiming in and say that Resistance 2 would be the known quantity because it's Insomniac, yadda yadda yadda, and that KZ2 would disappoint because it's guerrilla.

Yes. Theres another location on that same map where you can make a much more impressive gif. The shadow goes from nothing to huge in such an awesome and realistic way. Very impressive.

There is such a thing as a sweet spot.
It IS at a sweet spot, you dumb it down more and the map wouldn't be worth SPIT without choke points, it's like how a certain shooter decided to simplify squad play by giving you an in-game general that gives ONE squad specific objectives and isolate each squad from the others instead of letting people form their own squads, communicate and decide how to tackle a set of objectives, you would lose much of the tactical play that keeps people playing and getting better, it's not just about dudes in a room shooting at each other, it's about team play and organization. A shooter should reward skill, smarts and organization, ALWAYS.
COD4 feels more mechanical and gamey than KZ2.
I really like COD4's multiplayer, and played it quite a bit.
But there were a few things like Martyrdom (FUCKKKK) that pissed me off.
KZ2 is slightly more slower paced (only slightly), there's a little bit more weight to your movement and your shots, and you can kill very quickly if you aim well and use short bursts. Also grenades are not nearly as uber (rockets are though).
I don't think it would play better if it played like COD4.
There ARE sensitivity settings you can tweak (I changed them a little bit).
There ARE things that are different from COD4 that you have to get used to.
The game is fucking hot in my book and I'll buy it day one. I'm pretty floored.

I don't think it feels like KZ1 at all. And I've put easily well over 100 hours into KZ1 online.

It seems like before the beta the only people that thought KZ2 was going to be something special were Sony, GG and a few of us that played KZ1 and thought that it could be really amazing with extra development time and polish.

I'm really hoping they'll open up this KZ2 beta at some point. I can kind of understand why it was a closed beta to begin with but IMO they should open up the beta sometime in January so that it acts as a demo, kind of like what Bungie did with Halo 3 and it's 'beta' which was pretty much just a MP demo for the fans. If Sony have any games coming out in Jan they could even pack a code for the KZ2 beta in Crackdown style.
