But there were a few things like Martyrdom (FUCKKKK) that pissed me off.

KZ2 is slightly more slower paced (only slightly), there's a little bit more weight to your movement and your shots, and you can kill very quickly if you aim well and use short bursts. Also grenades are not nearly as uber (rockets are though).

I don't think it would play better if it played like COD4.
There ARE sensitivity settings you can tweak (I changed them a little bit).
There ARE things that are different from COD4 that you have to get used to.

The game is fucking hot in my book and I'll buy it day one. I'm pretty floored.

Agreed with bold. COD 4 is still a great multiplayer game tho.

You cannot change it in the beta but they confirmed the option will be in the final game, same with crouch

I fail to understand the argument regarding KZ2's budget. It's large, for sure, but other titles also have very large budgets. 3 year development, 120 person team. That's not out of the question for a blockbuster FPS exclusive first party title.

KZ2's look is not just a matter of time and money. It's pretty obvious how insanely talented GG are. Just because the team has grown doesn't mean it's being mismanaged. Going by the beta, it seems like they've been managed pretty damn well. The game is stunning in a lot of different areas, not just visuals.

I think it's more like they need to believe it. If they didn't, years of fanboy belief system would crumble and they would have to admit they're bias. It isn't easy to eat that much crow. :D

I think I've eaten the most, both when it comes to Killzone and the PS3 in general. I hated the state of the PS3 at the beginning and laughed when I saw the original Killzone trailer. MGS4 convinced me to spend the money I was saving for a 360 on a PS3, a purchase I was sure I regret. Since then I really couldn't be happier. I feel like I made the right choice.
 
FUCKSHITDAMN I really want the magnum but it's so freaking hard to kill people with the pistol now...should've tried when the beta had just started and we were all newbs...

Sniper is definitely my class.

I was worried at first coz I sucked at it, and I'd wanted to be the sniper ever since he was revealed (hence the avatar). Luckily I've gotten pretty decent at it. That's what I love about this game, I've never been the best FPS player, especially not online but if you put the hours into KZ2, it's so accessible most people can get into it and become decent. And yet to be really great at it you definitely need a lot of skill.

Also today I found a great sniping position on Blood Gracht to counter when the ISA overwhelm one of the chokepoints, the place the Helghast defend from the charges. I got about 7 kills in a row there easily. 80+ hours into 3 maps and I'm still discovering new things. That's another thing I love about this game, theres always a counter for any situation if you just work together and each player utilizes their role. Great map design :p

Although I should give props to MemoryCure aka "Mr_nothing" coz even though I havn't played too many games with him, going off his stats he seems a lot more skilled than I. I have more points because I've mostly been playing Body Count to try out all the weapons and classes, but he has a lot more kills and headshots... and teamkills :p

To be honest, I think we could have a pretty decent clan when February comes along if we can all get organised :p

oh and you're a damn good medic Metalmurphy, there's not many who revive you when the coast is actually clear :lol
 
Alternate 2 doesn't really feel like COD4 because of the toggle thing, but even if it was not toggle, the game just doesn't feel like COD4... movement wise and all.

I feel like Killzone is more about ducking and making sure you shoot straight, while I didn't duck too much in COD4 and still did fine. Also COD4 is more about grenade spam :lol

I was multitasking like mad on one of the rounds. The one where you ended up in first with 68 points and me with 65 or something. I was freaking on fire, giving out single shot headshots with the rifle, healing 1 guy, switching to pistol and killing 2 guys, healing another guy then switching to rifle again and blowing up a barrel and killing one with it :lol

Most fun I've had in ages.
 
I have a feeling gamespot and 1up are going to score this game lower than everyone else due solely on the fact that they won't want to eat crow in dealing with what they have said in the past. But it doesn't matter to me if they do or not, I'm buying this game. I kind of pity them in a way, not being able to see what I see.

I'm with you, I don't care how much the game costs Sony, I just want kick ass games to play. Also, it's obvious now that Sony did the right choice to invest on GG, it seems they can deliver on their promises.

People complaining about "KZ2 budget" are pretty bad with math. According to this, the average software engineer salary in Holland is Euro 36,064, but let's assume it costs Sony $75,000 USD instead.

120 * 3 * 75K = $27M

That's not a lot, is it? Sony should easily turn a profit on this title, but even if the title tanks (and we all know it will not happen), KZ2 tech will be shared with other studios and reused on other games, so it's always a good investment for Sony.

Oh no doubt about that. The engine used for KZ, whether it be a medley of pieces or a more focused one, is worth millions. It won't go to waste. Not with the community Sony's set up with their developement studios.

Okay, I was playing to day with FFObsessed and MetalMurphy (Sorry for killing you :P), anyway, I was using the rocket launcher as I had recently unlocked Assault class.

There is a definite delay between killing someone, and the animation, and the beep. They're all about a half second behind each other. I can kill someone, then the beep comes in about a half second later, then a tenth of a second later, the animation happens. This allows the person, if they started shooting first to kill you while they're "dead". I've done it enough times to see that it is late, so late that double-deaths happen too much.

Just wanted to clear that up.
