It took me 24hrs to unlock Scout in MP. Loved every minute. :P

8 hours SP, is fine. I've finished Uncharted in 3 1/2 hours on crushing, and that's one of my favorite games ever. :lol

Who said the levels are the same length? Hell, level 1-6 could take you the same amount of time level 7-8 does.

We'll just have to wait and see. TTP get off GAF and go play 5 hours of Beta because I can't ;p

you also deleted me from psn, I don't blame you though because i had 40+ days of inactivity : /

This is assuming it really takes 8+ hrs to beat KZ2. Reaching lvl 6 took me about the half of that...

But I'm dancing too close to the NDA now so I should just quit :P

You don't sound impressed with what you've played. :(

Beating lvl 6.

I have unlocked all the bolded trophies here:
*snip*

I think I'm quite beyond the half of the game.

Length should be on par with current shooters. What I want to know is, do you rike it?

Seeing how much he has played the beta, I don't think this is the case :p

I think he just can't say much due to NDA...but others have said it is awesome.

Oh, it is. No complains about the quality of the game at all. Even going by the limited preview code I played (multiple times already :D).

That's good to hear. I don't mind if it is short as long as it remains fun to play over and over again.

That's indeed what I think devs are trying to do here. Make it not too long so that you can easily (relatively speaking) play it over and over again. At higher difficulty levels, which I can't wait to check out as the AI is already great on the normal settings. MUCH better than early codes led to believe.

Besides, every confrontation plays differently every time you replay it thanks to the totally unscripted AI. It's really awesome how the game still feels fresh every time you play it again. I mean, before every confrontation you are like "let's see what the HGHs will come up with this time". And indeed something different happens.

Also, you'll be surprised about the non-linearity of level design. You'll notice that in a couple of vids I prepared for Dec 4th ;)

I am so glad to hear that about the AI. That's what makes games like Halo 3 and Uncharted really, really fun. The engaging and random aspects to it :)

If this game has a similar length and replayability as Uncharted I will be VERY happy. I already know that the multiplayer TOTALLY delivered.

I can't wait to see the graphics in some of these single player levels.

Oh, you wont easily recognize those "bits" of the SP levels that where used for the MP maps. It does look that much better.

There will always be that, just like there will be 70 and 80 reviews on the game,by sites that just do that for fun,or to do damage to the game or to appear as a site which is strong, like Game$spot do,that will nit pick practically anything.

But comparing the 2 when Killzone 2 was early on development based on a movie is retarded,in the end i think this game will deliver great and shut allot of mouths out there.

Gotta bring up another 1up GEM!

http://www.1up.com/do/previewPage?cId=3160994

What we like: The presentation and attention to detail are key. The game doesn't look as good as the 2005 trailer, naturally...but it looks about as good as any other console shooter. We'd say that Gears of War tops it, and a few other titles are on the same visual level, but the game looks extremely nice.

:lol :lol :lol :lol

There you have it folks.

Killzone 2 looks about as good as any other shooter. Gears of War tops it. :lol

I think they rather to go out of business before that happens..........
True, they are too prideful when it comes to that. But I will hang it over their head till the site goes under or they apologize. Gonna be a menace to society in south central while drinking juice.

Nice TTP. Exciting. Are these bits we haven't seen before? Cause I've played like...the first level i think.

There is both old and new stuff. But the old stuff is not pre-alpha anymore ;)
The new stuff is so new it could easily be considered spoiler. Never before seen locations. A boss fight. Stuff like that :P

Yes yes. But think about it. GTA4. 4 trailers before release. Nothing else. Massive hype because noone really knew what it'd be like.

Uncharted AI was great because of combination of good AI and great animation. Don't think enemy behaviour was that complex.

That really only works for GTA4, most other games SHOULD be marketing a bit before release to get the hype rolling. >:|

I hope old stuff and new stuff are on different vids? I don't want to be spoilered.

Not to defend the supposed length of the game (I'm in favor of epically long games...), but I can't think of a single other megashort game this generation (besides Heavenly Sword perhaps, which is apparently still shorter than KZ2) that has taken so much flak. I mean, REALLY? Shall we start naming names (though I can already sense the faux defense that will be used to defend them)?

Thankfully, you know, there's that MP thing (which some of the games that fit into the avove list don't even have).

And we still really have no true idea how it will take an average person to go through the game. The length of a shooter is HEAVILY COMPROMISED by a very skilled player, and unnaturally extended by a shitty one. Any sort of "estimate" of the length is useless without skill expectations.

COD4 on Veteran is easily 9-12 hours, depending on your skill level.

The way it was meant to be played

Anyways, the length doesn't matter to me as long as the plot leaves me wanting more.

And there is always DLC of course.

Are you stupid? Do you think these estimates being rather loosely bandied about for KZ2 are for the HIGHEST DIFFICULTY?

:lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol x 1x10^10^10^10^10^10

No, they're obviously for the easy or standard ("normal") difficulty.

And no, COD really aren't meant to be played on Veteran... since they're so shittily designed in the SP arena (starting most notably with 4 - the game you're referring to).
