Killzone: Shadow Fall "SNIPER" Multiplayer Gameplay

That gif just convinced me to pick this up day one instead of COD or BF4.

Up until this point I couldn't decide which one would be best for me personally as have never played a game from either series.

The M55 assault rifle later on has recoil. The semi auto sniper would be incredibly tough to use with more recoil since it's slow to fire and there's no aim assist. The lack of aim assist is why I think there's less recoil in this one.

I'm not seeing it, even hip firing the handgun stays center. I loved KZ2, so that's more like what I would want, but the majority feels otherwise. Seems like with the push for customization online there could modes that play like KZ2 (more weight and recoil).
 
No Aim Assist? That's sweet. I like Whiteboy's videos, this one wasn't good though. Man I cannot wait for the game.

Check out from 2:36 on. Some clear recoil there. Not KZ2 levels but not laser accurate either.
 
Wow, when someone who actually knows how to play a videogame records gameplay, it looks way more fun to play.

and giving additional points per kill is going to make people act like imbeciles again.

They don't seem to be fully invisible though, and they can only use knives while cloaked.

Seems well balanced to me.
 
Gotta love how the environment is reflecting off of the enemy as he is running toward you cloaked.

Those reload animations O.O

IQ wise this game annihilates BF / CoD put together. And that is Multiplayer. SP looks even better.

GG did their thing, everyone else can just bow down.

I watched the BF4 direct feed MP for the PS4 versions at 1080p and it looks incredible at 60 FPS. Just wait until they do the same for this game.

I still think that GG is so talented that there are games that won't look at on console as that game for a year or two after it releases (Ryse is an exception though). Keep in mind that Killzone 3 still looked better than most games that were released a year or two after that one.

Err that's even worse. I assume you weren't around in Killzone 3 when someone could instantly kill you because Guerrilla made the brilliant decision to add an animation to the knife that would insta-kill you. You have no way of defending yourself if a player got close. Cloaking makes it worse.
The infamous Saboteur knife was complete and utter bullshit.

Actually, when you use the cloak, you can only use the knife. They can also deflect you if you try to front stab, putting you in a bad situation.

To the people clamoring for more recoil, I just recommend you to play this game. There is no aim assist in this game and you are using a controller. It's already hard as it is.

BF's single player is garbage, and the engine looks compromised for multi-gen.

There's no doubt in my mind that KZ:SF will easily be the best launch FPS, both single player and multiplayer.

Absolutely. In terms of vehicular mayhem BF4 can't possibly be beat.
But satisfying gunplay and tight, fast, infantry combat? Killzone will probably take the top spot, as BF simply doesn't shine in that area. (And I probably have hundreds of hours played on BF3 PC)

Campaign isn't even worth talking about, it has always been a joke with Battlefield games.
 
Liking the recoil, though I would be OK if they added more. The lack of aim assist makes me think recoil/gunplay will be fine. But it doesn't seem that non-ADS shooting isn't as viable as KZ2. I see lots of ADSing. I miss controlling my shots through crouch/burst fire.

I'm still also concerned about the balance of nano shields and invisible one hit knife kills... hoping the cooldown is significant enough, and that it doesn't restart once you die.

nah BF4 will be ridiculously chaotic and fun still. BF4 for Xbone/PS4 are getting 64 players and everything looks to be an improvement from BF3 in terms of gameplay and visuals. The map design, increased destruction, non-stop action in certain game modes, and squad/spawning mechanic is what will set it apart from KZ: SF.

KZ: SF is going to be awesome because visually, not other FPS is going to touch that IQ and the it will have custom game modes which people can vote on and if you create on that's popular enough that it gets featured as an official game mode online. Also, the gunplay, kill animations, and using the weaponry in KZ (especially the energy pistol/sniper , will probably be more fun in Killzone.

Sound design will be absolutely excellent on both and really enhance the experience (something that most other FPS's suck in - I'm looking at you CoD and Halo), but BF4 is going to get the nod here probably.

Lastly, based on what we know, KZ: SF's campaign is going to have the better campaign with more replayability and people will actually want to replay it for trophies. I didn't even ever bother touching the campaign in BF3.

Yep. Exactly.

I don't know why Battlefield's multiplayer gets so much hype and praise. To me, it's incredibly superficial. It's a bigger CoD with vehicles.

It's not something you play competitively. It's not something that feels like you and the people in your party are going to make a difference at when it comes to winning or losing a match.

To me, this is a feeling that is getting lost on many multiplayer games these days as they constantly chase scale and spectacle over mechanics.

Killzone, Halo, and Gears are some of the only ones left.

Quality was shocking also!!

To summize. Crap voice, crap quality and crap at the game!! Good job killzone is an awesome game as that video sweet F A to show it.

I can live with the cloaking and forcing the cloaked user to use the knife.
My main issue here is the Auto-kill.

An invisble sniper is better than auto kill knife. I have never had a problem with players with terrible aim. And snipers are only dangerous on some maps like Pyrrhus Rise.
