Killzone - The Complete Collection coming to PC & PS5 late 2022?

Could be true

From Reddit
God I hope this is true. Killzone 2 4k/60fps or 1080p/120fps with HDR and maybe Ray-Tracing would be EPIC.
I've never played a FPS that was so satisfying to actually Aim. Shoot. And get the Kill.

Most people don't know how incredibly advanced the KZ 2 AI is on higher difficulties. It is truly a marvel in itself. Also, there is no holographic pointer on your guns on zoom or a pointer in general ramping up the difficulty. The post processing in the game is brilliant and beautiful, something KZ3 severely lacks. KZ2 is gritty and catches the atmosphere of war amazingly, KZ3 on the otherhand is about vagabonds trying to leave earth while there is a civil war brewing up between the Army and Private sector. 60 guys vs. whole armies... it became into a one man action protag story who commits genocide instead of a story of a soldier trying to leave without reprecussions due to Rico's stupid fucking acts.

Also, we all know the Helghan Empire did nothing wrong. They are just trying to get Vekta back which is rightfully theirs. Lmao, they tried so hard making the Helghans into villains in SF but failed again miserably.
Killzone 2 on Elite difficulty was one of the Hardest and Most Satisfying Game I have ever Played. It was Fantastic!!

They were both on the same platform (PS3). So probably just trying different things.

If you watch the DF retro analysis it'll make more sense. They cut some taxing graphics elements in KZ3 which improved the framerate and the input lag was better. KZ2 was simply too ambitious for the hardware. They also addressed the drab look too, basically, everything that KZ2 got hate for was addressed by the devs in an obvious way. Sadly, KZ3 was a worse game, so pick your poison. A remaster would fix some of it.

It's not bad, but I disagree that's anything remotely close to a marvel, even on the highest levels. As soon as you do something the game doesn't expect and you don't play it as intended, they're stupid. I would argue FEAR is superior despite being older.

Highest starting difficultly:

I can remember breaking these games several times doing stuff like this.

I wouldnt be surprised if Killzone 2 still looks good today at 60fps and higher resolutions.
Killzone 2 and 3 bored me to death at the time, but i will def give them another shot on PC when this releases.

Sure, how can one count for eratic behavior? Also, this is a pretty scripted encounter. I'd like to see this behavior on Salamun Bridge or Visari Square or Visari's Palace. Lol, I still remember inching my way in the last level. Then I gave up for months in the 2nd portion of Radec's Troops encounter until finally it was time to fight him.

A lot of high end AAA games from X360/PS3 generation hold up just fine at 60-120 fps and 4K. Like 2011-2013 titles are basically modern, 8th gen like games.

Aside from maybe scale, complexity of physics or faces, everything is modern IMO. And there are exceptions to that rule before 2011 or course.

Crysis 1, FEAR 1, Bioshock 1, Half-Life 2, Doom 3. These games all feel modern. What's lacking in some of them is ADS, but other than that, state of the art as far as modern sensibilities are.

Why you gotta necro bump a thread with a fake announcement? 🙃

Reddit? Please. Has any bullshit originating from that steaming pile of a website ever been correct? Even 4chan has a better track record in correct leaks/rumors.

So sick of the complete and utter nonsense cross-posted from there.

I don't understand why this game gets so much hate. I remember enjoying it as a launch title.
I honestly just think the hate is a leftover from the ps4 launch expectations ; that is if you go in for what it is it certainly doesn't suck.

I quite like the Helghast side underground portion of the campaign. And yeah, locked 60fps on ps5 is a visual treat still.

I never tried it at launch, but I bought it recently to try out the 60fps mode.

It's in all honesty not a very good game. It was probably fine at the start of the gen, especially considering how good it still looks, but I can't say I enjoyed the first chapters. The level design and layout felt pretty poor and having to use the drone and other tools breaks the flow of the game.

I died several times in a area because you had to land on a very specific spot after jumping off a cliff and when I finally realized "yes, you were supposed to jump down that cliff, just at a very specific landing spot" and I just felt I couldn't keep playing. I have better games in my backlog.

You could really tell it had a rushed development cycle. Especially towards the end where there are several weirdly designed sections that lead to insta-kills or just dont seem play tested. I also remember that the very final battle is literally just waves of high level enemies being thrown at you in an arena. Its definitely a game that gets worse the further you play.

The fact that it says "arriving to PlayStation 5 console" seems like a dead giveaway it's a fake made by an ESL fan. Or have Sony ever actually used such awkward/redundant wording?

I've never really liked KZ, so I'm indifferent either way. But tbf I did play them long after they actually released
