Killzone Trailer not even done by guerilla games?

It's not whether consoles have the power or not..it's about facts and fact is that killzone video was pre-rendered. Maybe PS3 will have the ability to do all that in real time, I would like it to be that way, but if we're debating whether that specific video was real time or pre-rendered then I can tell you for sure that it was pre-rendered.
If it is such breakthrough graphics and the engine is in such an advanced development state that can produce such a marvelous gameplay why don't show it in an interactive way instead of video only? This is not my only reasoning though, as I said, I know people that know people...No one will tell you anything though as they're all under NDA and their client is trying to shove this up everyone's throat as real time gameplay.
Don't know about the other stuff that Sony showed though.
somebody else just added
Killzone was Pre-Rendered, but it done by a company in sheffield. Not scotland as far as I'm aware.... maybe they worked together..
But the fact of the matter is, it's a Pre-Render and sony are making Suckers out of their fan base.

In 5 years we will be comparing screenshots to the tech-demos of E3, and we'll be saying "actually, I'd even say the clothing textures look better than the tech-demos!"

If i am not mistaken, these CG media are for the original Killzone?

Cheers,

Seriously people that think that Killzone 2 is running on actual game engine right now = clueless, though that doesn't mean that game might not look like that one day, or even better, but right now it's just cgi.

All their site mentions is work on rendered stuff for Killzone on PS2 (that said, I don't think for a second the Killzone 2 footage is realtime).

Axis made the KillZone 1 CGI. Its one huge fucking leap to jump to the conclusion they made this. But this rebuttal will be all over the web, and X360 fans all over will breath a collective sigh

...wouldnt surprise me though due to the short amount of time developers are given to "knock a video up" for e3. they probably worked with an external post-production house to get the video finished on time for the show.

couldn´t agree more..

I can´t understand how anyone actually believes that is realtime?!

Now that's some (awesome) CGI.

The killzone 2 demo was exciting even if it's not realtime. People want to be WOW.
Sony delivered.

This is true and they really did. I was hyped just watching it. However, the problem comes into the equation where people start taking the things shown, that may not be what the system is doing, and start applying that against everything else. Which is bullshit. And there's already too much other bullshit to deal with more bullshit.

I haven't seen people this nervous over a trailer since DC fanboys went apeshit after seeing the MGS2 trailer.

Well, these are the same people. :lol

BTW, where is the empirical evidence?

Duckroll said that he "had it on good authority" that it was not real-time in the other thread. Since Duckroll is hardly a MS partisan, he probably isn't lying.

Can we follow this with a big DUH,

All we need now is a collection of quotes from people professing that it was realtime and the ownage is complete. :P

I'm not an Xbot, I don't believe that those are in-game (could be real-time, I dunno - don't care really as long as they aren't in game), and I would love to be proven wrong.

DC fanboys were 100% sure that it was FMV and the PS2 would never come close to anything of that quality.

Yeah, it was hilarious - remember Dreamcaster? :lol

keep grasping at straws.

so anyone who claims killzone was pre-rendered is a fanboy?

Go and read the thread at cgtalk.com where people who work with cg on a daily basis say that it is pre-rendered from looking at various aspects of the trailer, the article from ign ps3 editors themselves which say it is most likely pre-rendered and then the comments from one of the fucking developers himself saying it was pre-rendered.

why do you keep referring to DC?

Because its the same damn thing. Back when MGS2 was shown at E3 2000, DC fanboys got pissed that a single video took all the spotlight away from their system. Now its E3 2005 and Xbox fans are in full damage control because a single video has taken all the spotlight off their system.
