well theres that whole executive producer for the halo movie thing, which is being filmed in Wellington at 3 foot six and Weta, so I assume he's not going to have a "name only" type association. I heard he was directing a movie as well and absolutely everything about it escapes me right now I think it's a more personal less fantasy type story though.

yeah but it is at the studio he built in wellington where he also lives (not sure how much these days), plus If King Kong goes well, I'm sure he wants to be known as the guy who can make a blockbuster any time he wants, so he should have quite a vested interest in Halo doing well.
I cant wait for the new deluxe edition of the original 1933 King Kong as that is still one of my favorite all time movies...
