I just downloaded the demo and I'm trying to play and I can't see shit. It's like playing Silent Hill or something on my CRT. I remember some statement about it being too dark and I guess that was referring to component output?

Also since there are no instructions and they just drop you in somewhere without even showing you the buttons I'm very confused. I exited a cave and went to an open area with 2 flying things which I shot. Now I can't do anything. I can't see very well but I think there's a big door in front that wont open and I can't get back to where I came from (and the two other dudes are still just sitting in the cave. They seemed...glitchy or something because they were just standing still not making any sound or saying anything). So I just keep running around the start area but I can't find anything to do....

Do you have access to the menu with start? In the final version (maybe with a patch) there's a brightness setting.

The demo is fucked! A HUGE T-rex is supposed to appear the second you enter that area and it does not....

I guess ubi will have to release a patch for the demo (as stupid as that sounds)

the demo has been on the kiosks since before launch and they finally release it on the marketplace and its so fucked you cant get anywhere :lol

This is pretty hilarious. Did anyone at Ubisoft, you know, TRY THE DEMO ONCE before putting it on the marketplace? Anyone would've been able to see within 5 mins that nothing happens and the demo is screwed...

kiosk demo prior to launch = random texture glitching

(3 months later)

live market place demo = description typos, bugs making progress impossible

(3 months later)

live market place demo redux = system destroying bug

the way they've been progressing, i'm sure your right. probably some sort of glitch to melt your hdd or a wacky equivalent.
