Not in a million years.
It's a half baked fighter that does no justice to it's source material, or bother bringing anything new / different to the genre. There was a lot of potential for a really exciting unconventional 3D fighter (Read: Not another verbatim copy of the VF formula) here and SNK blew it.
That's $20 better spent on the KoF '02/03 collection. Hell, I'd say it's $20 better spent on any other fighter. You can find Bloody Roar 4 for $5 at some stores, and spend the other $15 on booze and fast food.
Shantae, for it's weaknesses (fairly easy to complete, some enemies lacking "warning animation") is a very competent non-franchise platformer that any infidel who decries the advent of polygons in video gaming should own. Unless you secretly love 3D games, but don't want to admit it in public for fear of losing your "indie" dork cred.
I've really got to stop clicking on the View Post option for suckers on my Ignore List.

I'm buying a copy. For that price why not. Beside, I didn't think it was horrible, just not worth $50 even for a diehard SNK KoF fan like myself. 
It's a good first effort from SNK, and the game is clearly made to play the way it does to attract people to it that would never touch the 2D KOF games. People just don't seem to understand that.

We could sufficiently dub this game TekShinden as it combines the worst elements of both. :X
