I tried and ultimately didn't like KCD...so I'm not really hyped at all for the sequel. Open to the devs changing my mind on this, but for now, Avowed on gamepass seems the way to go for me.

Just upgraded the PC so not really looking to do a whole lot of unnecessary spending.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 getting its release date moved up to Febuary 4th is awesome!

2025 is going to be unlike any other year in gaming. You could argue KC2, Avowed, AC Shadows, and Monster Hunter Wilds will all sell better than any AAA single player games released in the entirety of 2024. And they are all coming out within 3 weeks of one another. Absolutely wild

KCD2 - I'm buying it right on the day of release, because I'm really looking forward to it, I'm a fan of the first part.
Avowed -maybe someday, when there will be nothing to play at all, there will be a new civilization, monster hunter and yakuza, and I want to play all... if I really need to play it, I definitely won't buy it, I'll just try it through gamepass. I don't see any point in buying it separately from a financial point of view.

Didnt like KCD. Gameplay was just awful, and so where the game mechanics. Story and graphics were excellent but i just couldnt get into it. I always liked games from Obsidian so i'm definitely going to play Avowed.

KCD 2 and its not even a question. Avowed looks mid and I will try it later on through buying a month of GamePass.

KCD is a great game, especially with some mods, and KCD2 looks like KCD1 but bigger in all regards.

Combat is methodical in KCD and it’s fine 1v1 or even 1v2, but breaks down further then that. There were some mods to help and KCD2 looks to improve combat on top of that.

I am going to wait post release though and see the state of the game before buying.

I feel like I'm gonna get shit for this but they both look like shit to me. Avowed has always looked like boring shit but I was always interested by the original KCD.

I watched that gameplay video from IGN the other day and the new one just doesn't look good to me. It looked janky with terrible audio, and stiff animations.

Maybe you missed the news were Black Myth Wukong already sold 20 Million. Thers no way KC2 and Avowed combined sales even come close.

I kickstarted the original KCD and forgiving the clusterfuck of how they delivered physical rewards, I didn't much care for the combat so the second is an easy skip. No interest in Avowed after how completely forgettable Outer Worlds was.
