Kingdom Come: Deliverance II | Review Thread

How about them apples....vavra is the sellout coward we all thought he was. Glad i didnt buy this piece of shit game

Nah, didn't find a single thing overly "woke" or toothless during my playthrough, it was just a fantastic game through and through. Also, big boobies! 🤷‍♂️

Oh, no, "he changed something!". Dear oh dear... The knee-jerky reminds me of the christian fundamentalists' attempt at demonizing hard rock and videogames during the 80's. It's like playng a videogame backwards to try to listen for voices resembling Satan to corroborate a preconceived silly notion.

Edit: Holy echochamber at your source!

I'm usually against woke stuff and consider myself to be a bit sensitive when it comes to that stuff. That said, I put like 160 hours into KCD2 and barely noticed a few things during my whole playthorugh that could be considered woke: cumans not being the evil baddies they were in the first game, Musa being a mary sue and you being able to bone your bro.

The later is just a matter of avoiding a dialog choice that also has a big read heart next to it warning you that zesty moments await if you pick it.

The one about the cumans was kinda weird at first, but then I thought that maybe Henry had matured and started seeing every cuman as a person of it's own that could be evil or not, rather than a collective of evil people like in a cartoon, which fits with the story quite a lot since many of the villains in KCD2 are only villains in the eyes of Henry. Or maybe they did indeed lift that from them and put the "evil dudes" banner on the praguers? Who knows, but it didn't seem like a big deal to me.

Musa's inclusion is clearly woke but whatever, he only appears in a few quests and I ended liking the dude anyway, specially the part where he teches you how to make that soup.

So yeah imho KCD2 might be a little bit woke, but on the woke scale I think it ranks waaaay below the heavy hitters lol.

Don't miss on the RPG of the decade just because some black guy likes to season his food, don't be dumb.

Yeah, Musa is really one of the most annoying and unlikeable characters I ever experienced in a game. What an arrogant twat. His implementation seemed to me like a bad joke from Vavra. Here look...we have a black guy in our bohemian medieval game....but we make him a huge asshole...muuaahhahaha! ;) Its really hard for me to consider this "woke". Its more of the opposite.

Thought the same at first, but I think the dude is just jaded because all he has seen of Bohemia so far is being in Sigismund's camp surrounded by death, drunkards and prostitutes.

Later on he's much more appreciative of Bohemia and I think he ends up saying that he'll stay some more time to properly check out the kingdom. It's been a while since I finished the game so I might be wrong on that tho.
