This is how the action scenes were directed;
God no.
I hate that kind of editing.
At least in that gif they could be trying to hide the fact that the guy sucks at climbing fences ... but what's the point in a CG film ?

The best part of this film is actually the middle third, leading up to the. The tension building up as the characters realise what's happening was really well done.treaty signing
Audi? Lol
I thought the beats placement was far more obvious, the car at least fit in.
A few questions I'll raise
How did no one know Darutos was Glauca all these years? Surely someone would get suspicious when he's absent
I don't get any of the traitor Glaives' motivation, so they decide to be terrorists agaisnt Lucis because Niflheim invaded their homes and Lucis didn't want to fight back? And for Darutos' motivation, his home has had to be sacked by Niflheim many years before the story even began.
There was that one racist guy that taunted Nyx at the toll booth near the beginning. So in the middle of the film he was leading the charge and failed to defend the crystal as I presumed he was gunned down. But then he appears near the end to escort Nyx and Luna out of the Citadel. Am I missing something here?
I don't get Luna at all. At the end she for some reason wanted to forgo Livertus' protection to blend into the crowd. But she doesn't bother disguising herself despite being a major political figure, and she at least could've used a lift to Altissia.
Where's Cor in all this? Stuck in the Audi's trunk?
For that matter, where's Etro? The infamous Etro portrait scene from the early Versus trailer was reworked and now the characters involved are not discussing about the mythos surrounding Etro and all.
It's going to be for sale on digital video download services worldwide on the 30th.Apparently they're putting it on digital streaming services on 30th, in Japan-only, naturally.
Let me watch your goddamn movie, it's 2016, you can fire the old farts in accounting now.
I'm so irritated this movie isn't aired anywhere in Italy... grrrr S-E
It's barely playing anywhere in the world. A handful of Japanese and American dates to add a little prestige to what is really a direct to video release, id say.I'm so irritated this movie isn't aired anywhere in Italy... grrrr S-E
You'll have to pay for it. I think you were confused with the Brotherhood anime, which is free. When this releases on the 30th will we have to pay to watch it? I was under the impression it would be up on Youtube and the like.

Now, to the plot discussion.
There are a lot of things I would like to discuss about, but for people who are not aware of FFXV's lore, this will be difficult to follow.
1) I believe the 3 summons at the end to be the Warring Triads and not members of the KOTR. One, because Warring Triads are always a group of three, and that was the number of summons depicted. Two, they arose from the statues of Lucis, another positive assertion at the Triads that were petrified (FFVI). Three, if you observe closely, one of them is a female/has feminine features. In the Japanese dub, the voice is a female. Warring Triads have a goddess, a demon and a fiend. I believe the feminine one is the goddess, the dead one with arms lost is the fiend and the last one standing is the demon. KOTR does not have a female member.
2) KOTR is the past Kings of Lucii (the voices and figures seen when someone wears the ring), they are hinted to be the final summon, and one of them is Regis. Regis was the one who believes Nyx should be lent the power of Kings.
3) Unlike Iedolas, who just wants the crystal, I believe Drautos and Ravus knows about this ancient power (or old walls) of the Lucii ring. Ardyn doesn't seem to know this either but he seems more concerned in preserving Insomnia instead of destroying it. It's 50/50 on who the final villain is, Ardyn or Ravus or someone else we don't know.
4) There's something about Luna and Noctis. It appears the union has always been something Sylvia and Regis wanted? As I recall the English version hinted as much but I can't seem to recall what was said in the Japanese version.
5) And what was the primary reason Regis sent Noctis away, was it so that he can save the world or save him from the attack? Because the Japanese one sounded like he wants to save his son, but the English one made it like so he can survive and save the world. It could be both.

"Knights of the Round" are specifically mentioned in the credits. Granted it could be referring to something else completely, as you pointed out after
I've watched it 3 times now, in different countries;
My general opinion on it is a 6.5/10:

I'd say Ardyn knows a lot more than he lets on.
They were already childhood friends, with a strong connection. I got the impression they were somehow tied by destiny. The betrothal was something that happened recently at Ardyn's behest.
He wanted to send him away so he could marry Luna in safety, and to remove him from the city. Regis sees the big picture. Things like territory aren't important to him, but something like the fate of the world is. Noct is a part of that bigger picture.

You know, I usually don't even watch movies that I love more than twice.
But in the extended artwork for the game's cover you can see there is more than 3 of them. The one on the left is even holding a shuriken which we know it's one of the Royal Weapons Noct can wield and incidentally there's 13 of those.
Idk to me the Mysterious Entities=Summoned Creatures=Lucian Kings=KOTR theory seems like the most obvious one.
And the "Thanks" section had several people grouped together with the same surnames. I wonder who those people are and what did they contribute. It looked to me like a few members of the same family. I believe Illusionist to be a Malaysian company. Major wow.

Unless you actually mean streaming like Netflix, etc.
Funny thing is, I was thinking about the same thing yesterday, but I doubt they have thought that hard about it. Probably just wanted it to look coolThis is probably silly to think about but I was wondering how the physics of the weapon-teleporting works.
Do you retain your momentum from A to B? If so, you wouldn't be able to survive long falls, which is what the Glaive do all the time. But there are parts where it clearly shows Nyx still moving from his previous location (a la Portal) and taking advantage of that momentum for his next move. Does it use the momentum of your body or the momentum of the weapon?
How do you choose your body position? Is it the same one you teleported from and you have to "pre position" before you make the blink? Or do you do it when you get there?
Is your hand always attached to your weapon when you arrive? If so, how do you resolve the issue of needing enough space around your weapon for your body so you don't accidentally teleport into solid matter?
Less than 24 hours until the movie is available digitally, guys. It's confirmed that it's being put on the iTunes store, does anyone know any other services that will sell the movie or make it available for streaming?
September? Wut?30th of September, Japan gets it tomorrow. And it's never actually worldwide when they say worldwide, I'm fully expecting lol region lock despite my country for once being one of the few which get the official localizations for the game straight up. Screw Sony Pictures and all the old farts there that still don't understand what the words "digital","worldwide" and "a movie made to hype up the game" mean.
Yup.September? Wut?
That's the Bluray I think. Digitally it should be August 30th.
Does the iTunes version include the Japanese VO?

Well, I guess for once my nerdrage is unwarranted.
Impressive I suppose. We even got a dub. Definitely not used to this!
In case you didn't know: the animations were lip-synced to the English VO from the ground up. JP VO isn't the original and is just a dub, which is why the lips are off-sync more.
-Music good but not great (6/10). I like Shimomura's better.
What do you mean "even got a dub"?^^ The English dub is the main dub:
So ... was any of the music (excluding the main theme) Shimomura's? I felt like there were a few tracks that sounded Shimomura esque. Like during the Luna and Regis reunion.
