Strange that this has not been bigger news if Nvidia is actually taking this step. Is it only the MSI cards? Is not FE cards mostly involved in the melting cables-issue?

This sounds very unsubstantiated. Important to note there's only been a total of three confirmed cases of any issues related to this happening.

You realie they both sit at the same dinner table no christmas?
The whole market is set up by them both. That's why there is no real competition
I cannot think otherwise, for me it's impossible, it's just too much of a coincidence they're cousins and AMD always shit the bed wherever Nvidia is in troubles. It reminds me the fake opposition in Venezuela and maybe I'm spoiled but man, the coincidence is just too much and Lisa has already shown she's not stupid to run the business since they made a big comeback in the CPU segment

shame for all 47 people who got one
I think quite a few folks have these now. A store here had about 50 in stock this sunday, and have a few left still.
Those were sold in pre-builds btw.
Not as many available boxed, but seems many stores here gets a few from time to time.
Definitly not as bad as the first few weeks.

They don't have the stock to meet the demand and the cards are catching on fire. Why did they launch if they weren't ready?

Have they ever had a generation like this where it's been one disaster after another? Or is this the worst gen?

I'm not an owner of any of that or Ada's gen.

Why not recall Ada while we're at it?

Because they aren't pushing the power limits in the same way that the 5090 has been.

Both my 4090 and 4080 have had no issues with the connector when paired with PSU's with native 12vhpwr connector.

First it was crypto mining, now AI. I look forward to the day Nvidia comes back to gamers hat in hand and begs for forgiveness. Jensen is running a pure luck build.

People: I want 5090 FireStrike Benchmark 😃🔥

Jensen: We has 5090 FireStrike Benchmark at home. 😎🔥

5090 FireStrike Benchmark at home🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Still enough of a risk because of the connector design to be a fire risk, regardless of the customer didn't push hard enough. Peoples were talking to recall these back then too. Either way, I'm on good ol 8pin and seeing the prices of these GPUs and scarcity, seems I'm on that GPU for years to come.

Saw that as well and did a little investigating as I've never heard of that retailer. Found too many red flags. Checked location of business, some industrial park that also houses a different company on the same address, it's reviews are also clearly fake and most of them from the last few weeks.
