It is. Just sold me on the game too, damn.
A healthy lot of it. It looks really good, even if nostalgia for that type of game is tinting my perception of it.Damn I missed it. How much platforming was shown?

Maybe I will buy Knack at launch, it looks like oldschool platform fun and I want to support Mark Cerny.

Looks boring
Agreed. I think they show the city level a lot because it's Knack in maybe his biggest form. Which is why he moves so damn slow in it.I'm not sure why Sony is hiding these levels - the game looks like a lot of fun and this shows it off much better than the stroll through empty city they have mostly shown.
Captures from the video above. This one. http://filetrip.net/dl?FEED0zjcv9
Not the best quality, but I am seriously impressed with how far the visuals have come.
hmmm..keeping the cellophane on this one until reviews drop.
Here's a gallery of official Sony screens: http://gematsu.com/2013/11/knack-screenshots
Do defeated enemies still dissapear?
All of those except for diamond are pretty cool! Could lend a fair amount of replayability.
And this level gave me fuzzy feelings inside.
It's a game that's meant to be played by kids. Do you really want dead bodies lying around? None of the other games of this kind do, Jak, Ratchet, Sly, Crash, etc. It would be really weird if that was the case.

Yeah. I wish they had one that was 1-1-1 purposely under powered for that purpose.
Diamond seems to be OP. Wonder what the point of it is. Just roaming around being OP does seem fun I guess if it's something hard to get.
I got a chance to play this today at a demo kiosk and was incredibly disappointed by just about everything. The gameplay felt a lot more stiff than I had imagined it, with Knack not moving as fast as I'd hoped. The graphics weren't nearly as smooth as I thought they would be either (although that might've been the fault of the television), and it just didn't leave me with a great impression.
I'm super disappointed because Knack was my most anticipated launch title. The silver lining is that I've heard a number of people complain about the demo version, but also a lot of people praising other (newer?) demos, so perhaps it was just a one-off.
Either way, when I arrived back home, the copy I ordered from Amazon was waiting for me, so there's no turning back now.
Gold Knack is pimp as hell.
