Nona? Nope, but I think he's doing the ending artwork.

I believe its Hiroaki who is doing this year's art portraits. He is, IMO, one of the best.

Looks like you haven't seen the character art yet, so here's a flyer from Arcadia :)

Which one is Kyo? I'm wondering if much of his aragami chains have been changed/axed now that he has his projectile back.

Yup, his aragami chains have been changed ALOT:

Btw Kyo is the one holding the fire, front guy..

anyhow, his fire is now qcb+p, and..
QCF A new follow ups (btw, the rest has been quoted by a HK player)

After QCF A, you can do HCB B which will become his HCB "D" version of old series like 2k,2k1,2k2.. and if do HCB D it will connect with QCF A as well sending opponent out of screen..In corner you can do Stand C,QCF DD,QCF A,HCB D, Tag and follow up "I haven't tried myself yet just got a Stand C of Iori"

2nd is QCF A,QCF A then HCB B/D.. In this one he will od his old HCB B but it is very slow BUT it has invincibility can go through some attacks i noticed..And it is not comboable after QCF DD,QCF A,QCF A,HCB B/D TILL NOW..HCB B too slow..

3rd is QCF A, QCB A,"Forward B"...Not very useful

4rh is QCF A,QCB A,D/f D...Not bad still thinking how to use it effectively..

So basically:
QCF A> HCB B
QCF A> QCF A> HCB B
QCF A>QCB A> D/F D
QCF A> QCB A> Forward B
I think I missed a couple..

Oh btw, how about this combo?? Freaking awesome!!
Jump C,Stand C,QCF DD,QCF A, QCF A again (note the 1st one not the follow up means 2 QCF A's ) HCB B,DP C,SC into QCFx2 A/C DM Dream Cancel into LDM

You can also do this instead, much easier as well:
Jump C,Stand C,QCF DD,QCF A, HCB B, DP C,SC into QCFx2 A/C DM Dream Cancel into LDM
About the combo though:
1. you need to hold on A for the qcf x 2 A super for a short sec b4 releasing to make it able to hit
2. you need to Dream Cancel into the grabbing LDM right after the qcf x2 A DM hits, but the timing isnt too hard since qcf x 2 A DM freezes the opponent and frame for about half a sec or so.

Anyhow, I'm really looking into this, every character seems to have a nice Dream cancel. (which, can only be done from dm to LDM)

Damn, much more than I was expecting. Thanks. :D

What are his DMs? I know he has his 182 Shiki from '99-2k/SvC in. What's his 2nd? Mu Shiki, or Orochinagi?

Why is there a Sega logo on that poster? *baffled to the last drop*

Sega is part of Sega-Sammy Holdings

SNK develops their games on SSH's Atomiswave arcade boards (among others)

He has Orochinagi for his other DM. His leader DM is a grab, just like his hidden sdm from 2k2, the blast deals the most damage and the rest animation of LDM is mixes of QCF C and QCF A then at end launching with QCF DD and finishing up with Orochinagi.

If anyone has been following the story of KOF2k3, when Ash
posseses Chiruzu's power
, you will notice that Ash has two LDMs. One is the one from KOF2k3, which allows him to use charge moves without much holding for a short period of time. His other one is a continuation of his LDM, and can only be performed during this time period. Ash dashes across the screen, searing the ground with green flames, and hitting the opponent in one of those dramatic poses as he goes through them. After this, the opponent's special moves are sealed for a bit,
like Chizuru's old DM. So this is how he uses her power :)

Aw. I was hopin' for Mu Shiki.

I hear he steals Iori's flame, or Orochi power in XI as well. Wonder if we'll be seeing a Blood Riot Ash in XII, or a play off Iori's eight wine cups.

[EDIT] - That is Vanessa that I'm seeing in the videos, no? Or some weird palette swap?

Any tips for beating the last boss? He rapes me everytime with his projectiles of death. :P

If you want to use Mai, play NGBC. Same goes for Robert.

Let me just say again how damn awesome this year's KOF is. :D SNK Playmore's games have really improved this year; KOF XI, NGBC, and SS6 are all great fighting games.

I'm about to go hit the local mall here and see if the arcade there has KOF XI. The arcade right near me has been a bit too empty as of late; playing the CPU is getting old.

Man you should be happy to have it :( I would burn all my quarters just to try it

Oh, believe me...I'm ecstatic about it. I didn't even think that the arcade had gotten the game yet last week; I went there to play SS Tenka and noticed the machine behind it was playing a KOF game I had never seen before. Tekken 5 remains the dominant fighting game here, though, followed by that Gundam Seed game, if you want to count that. And Neo-Geo Battle Colliseum is the most popular 2D fighter. Capcom has zero presence in this city. I found one arcade with a single 3rd Strike machine in the basement, and it's always empty. Virtua Fighter 4 is equally as dead here; it's interesting to me since I thought VF4 would be the dominant fighting game.

Thanks! This poster is top notch, 300% better than Nona. I don't keep track of the artists, but the style appears to be just a tad more cartoonish than the late 90's portraits, and for the better.
