Konami Conference + Website Countdown

Brilliant MGS4 trailer.

Really crossing fingers for some VR missions in MGS3:S, Snake VS. Monkey doesn't do it for me.

Man that really looks like an exhumed Big Boss corpse... or something. Should be interesting to see where they go with this now that whole backstory was explained in MGS3.

Can someone mirror the MGA2 video? I can't seem to get it to work (even with SDP).

"I think the last one is definitely Naomi. Face looks the same which is very different from Rose's face."

It's probably Naomi, but I guess there's a chance it could be Rose also.

He'll be in his 40's in this one.

Thanks, Solid. Unfortunately, it tells me that "This file exceeds your download-limit. Please wait one hour.", so I'm gonna have to wait a while.

Was there a Konami Press Confrence??? if so is it linked somewhere like gamespot so I can download the entire thing?? I want to see this in the HD downloads :D

The Metal Gear Solid 4 teaser was funnier than anything I've seen related to videgames. I just LOVE that kind of humor... So no footage of MGS4 heh? Boy, I surely wasn't expecting this...

Keep this in mind

"In the meantime, you'll have to subsist on the riotous announcement video, which Kojima told the audience contains plenty of easter eggs that would be hard to catch on first viewing. Watch it early, watch it often, and stay tuned for us to bring you every available detail on Metal Gear Solid 4 we can scrounge up."

Going to watch it a few more times.

You mind hosting the MGS3 vid again? It'd be much appreciated :)

I need that MGS3:S video and I don't want to wait an hour! :D

The MGS4 video is hilarious! Kojima cuts the best trailers!

Kojima Productions now, eh?

OCELOT IN ACID 2! Looks hot!

Good call on the poster - that is indeed a drawing split down the middle of Snake and Solidus. But what you might also notice is that half of Raiden's gear is the Cyborg Ninja set.

*sigh* If only MG1/2 were remakes...

Ok I got up some time ago and I'm finally caught up on the news...... I hope I got it all in:

MGA2

- Same team, more stuff, more budget
- Celshaded engine
- REVOLVER OCELOT
- Return of the 2D stills for plot scenes
- PSP

MGS3:S

- MG and MG2SS
- Third person mode
- Online missions, co-op and group versus
- Demo theatre
- Duel Mode
- Secret cinemas
- PS2

MGS4

- Murata x Kojima
- Snake is the lead
- After MGS2
- Mostly the same staff
- PS3

OMG HOW CAN I SAY IT ENOUGH?????? THANK YOU KOJIMA!!!!!!!

i can see why kojima wants to work on something totally brand new that isn't metal gear :P

so many metal gear games

Konami has not disappointed - all the new MG stuff and beatmania for US PS2! Finally I can get a controller for IIDX cheap. I hope.

I wonder if you could "stick up" other players by sneaking behind them + pointing a gun to their head. Like if you get the jump on someone an exclamation mark will pop over their head and they'll automatically go into the "freeze!" stance.

HATERS OWNED

WHAT WILL YOU LOSERS COMPLAIN ABOUT NOW
OR you can look at it like.... all the people who were legitimately unsatisfied with the camera win. I'm not a "hater". MGS3 is one of my favourite games of this generation. But the new camera is a big deal; even Konami seems to think so. Rather than being so bitter, be happy.

I freaking told people the MGS4 Trailer would be the best at the show. Followed closely by the FF7 tech demo.

my god...
fapping...
MGS series....
holy...
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh............

best news of E3

PS2 wins
PSP wins
PS3 wins
Sony wins
gamers win

You know, in the MGA2 trailer I noticed that when Ocelot appeared, it was in Link Battle mode. Maybe there will be different choosable characters to have on your team this time, perhaps with differing abilities?

According to 1UP, Ocelot is going to play a big role in MGA2's story.

Also MGS4 is going to be online also. Woo!

The Famitsu Kojima game was MGS4. Here's what he revealed on it (not much)

"First, the juicy bits on MGS4. Kojima, sadly, doesn't talk too much about the game (he actually states that the game's system hasn't been confirmed yet, which means this interview was conducted some time before E3's announcement of a PS3 release). He is willing to reveal that the game is set in the future. Players will be taken to places to which the series has never before gone, Kojima states, asking that fans use this "hint" to picture what will become of the game."

Here's what 1up says

"The game's premise, announced previously but reinforced at Konami's press conference, will be "Nowhere to hide." Kojima phrased it carefully to avoid giving too many spoilers, but said that Metal Gear Solid 4 would be set in a location where there are no hiding places. A further cryptic hint was that if previous Metal Gear Solids were about going into "installations," MGS4 would be about entering "situations."

I wouldn't count on it, Gamespot just reported that Kojima said that the real game won't be shown till E3 2006.

"oh sweet creamy jesus, MGS3:S = compilation of MGS, MGS2 and MGS3"

It's actually MG, MG2: Solid Snake, and MGS3. Which is even better imo.

if you will notice on the middle left hand corner there is what appears to be the symbol for a regiment or brigade of infantry soldiers (it's the square with the circle and X over it). maybe we'll finally get to seethat 2,000+ soldiers thing that hideo wnated to put in metal gear solid 2?
