There's also 32 songs. Only 3 of them are geared towards children unless you count the Pokemon theme song and Nintendo mascot theme songs.

What ARE they, then?

And I think in this case Vestal is just praising a PS2 game over a Cube one out of bias -- there's no way you could not notice the blatant problems unless you have a Japanese drum and Namco did a better job in the production of those units or something.

:eyefuckingroll

What the fuck does it fucking matter if a game's on PS2 or GameCube? What the fuck kind of fucking comment is that? Fuck. THEY'RE BOTH NAMCO GAMES. Taiko's the only PS2 game I've played in the last two months - the rest of my time has been divided between PC (World of Warcraft), Xbox (KOTOR II), and GameCube (Tales of Symphonia, Resident Evil 4). Just cause you have stupid fucking biases doesn't mean the rest of the fucking world does too. :P

I'm praising the PS2 game over the Cube game because the song list in the PS2 game doesn't make me want to swallow fucking cyanide.

Lemme guess, you're one of those people who think Nintendo games are for kids. Well, in that case, there are more than 3.

well, Pokemon and Kirby are definitely enjoyed by kids, but they have older audiences too...

also, it's not like Mario and Zelda music have not been enjoyed by older teens/adults...

it's like saying Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, etc... are geared towards kids, perhaps they are, but in a different sense than Blues Clues, etc...

Pokemon and Kirby (tv series songs) and Mario and Zelda (game songs) have kid audiences, but they also cut across to and older demographic, different from how campfire medley or something else would (not saying they won't be enjoyed by older people, but the Nintendo franchises have a definite audience, especially among Cubers/videogamers)...

you can definitely draw a dinstinction, and college kids that are Nintendo and/or videogame and/or geeks of a certain nature can definitely like Pokemon and Zelda songs, but the same cannot be said for Happy Birthday and Itsy Bitsy Spider...

Your posting history leans heavily against Nintendo and that's totally fine, everyone has their own biases. I'd say the same thing about Fennec Fox for that matter. Smart guys, good at your job, but you throw around a lot of unnecessary Nintendo hate.

I like Nintendo fine - it's the fan club I can't stand. :)

I guess this is a good enough place as any to put it, but the second most amazing thing I've ever seen come out of Taiko (the first being this gal at E3 who simply OWNED the game), was my cousin who hadn't played the game before. We were in his brother's room playing the game, and he was eating some food. He wanted a go at the game, so he proceeded to play one handed (while eating with the other), and he got a 60% clear the first time. About an hour later he was doing medium-difficulty songs one handed, and clearing them with 75%-80%+ completion. It was crazy.

as with any other (Beatles, Sony, Apple, Capcom, Star Trek, etc...) fanbase the Nintendo "fanclub" is very diverse with wide-ranging opinions, habits, likes, dislikes, etc...

it seems the #1 common factor among such fans is a love for Nintendo, so basically you dislike people for loving Nintendo, yet you like Nintendo?

I wouldn't say JackFrost hates Nintendo. fennec fox though, I wonder sometimes. (By which I mean I wonder when he will leave a flaming bag of dog shit on Iwata's front stoop.)
