If it was a totally new taiko game i'd have been tempted to grab it but it's basically the old switch release but now the notes scroll with a higher fps but if you have never played it before it's a good solid rhythm game to play and one that will kick your ass on oni difficulty. While the base game has about 70 something songs to get the most out of it the music pass is fantastic it basically gives you 700+ songs to play however it's a monthly sub thing but it's relatively cheap. Be aware if you don't like japanese pop you may end up hating it as a lot of the music is pop stuff tv show themes or anime plus some gaming songs.

Regarding the hori drum it's useable but be prepared for a lucky dip to weither you get a drum that's relatively ok or one that's got bad sensitivity and you have to hit it hard for the notes to register. With the fact that this new drum is based on the newer switch model there's a chance that they might have tried to improve it on it's journey back to playstation but until someone gets on in their hands i'm going to say it's probably like the switch one.

There's now some pretty amazing mid price pro taiko drums out there now that have amazing roll ability as well as the top of the line arcade replicas. This one is a taikoforce it's full arcade size however it also costs the price of a PS5 so not a beginner drum.

It makes the official hori drum look tiny side by side hehe.

Been playing since the wii era when it jumped from it's original PS2 home to nintendo consoles, the pro wii drum is a thing of beauty.
