I have said this before but as a PC gamer with my whole gaming history in front of me on Steam, and other launchers, it blows me away how some console fans on here seem to be so against past gen games.
Maybe its just console warring because Microsoft are really pushing the boat out with BC.

Yeah I'm not sure either. I have a PC for everything but Sony Exclusives which I use a PS5 for.
I'm pretty impartial to both MS and Sony, can't take sides as both are doing something well and bad currently.
I can't see why any Sony fan wouldn't want to play older titles again at a higher frame rate especially after seeing MS do it and continue to aggressively support it.
I really want to play UC4 again but not at 30fps when I know the PS5 could push 4K 60fps.

I'm still missing Dark Souls 3 though. I remember some inofficial 60fps patch for the original Dark Souls on PC and it resulted in all weapon and armor degradation to double in speed, I wonder if this might be the reason its hard to implement without Froms involvement

There is a reason why CoD were/is selling that much.
Seeing as it's mostly enabled by default (unless its on series x getting rid of One X enhancements, so it is disabled by default due to res drop) casuals replaying their games on their new consoles will auto-magically experience it better. It's not about casuals actively "caring", but making the experience better.
Not sure why you're hung up on 'casuals' over a net positive for everyone on the system.

Its a free of charge thing Microsoft are doing for old games. Improving older games for the gamer. There is nothing negative about this.

Most of these games allready have 60fps mode, they need add games that need it like need for speed games, rdr2, batman games, etc

Such a shame we never got a follow up.Sleeping Dogs at 60fps. Been wanting to play that again.
This game had such fun combat and an amazing story imo. The DLC's were great too.

well it will still push 1080p 60 fps for 1-2 more years
it can push 60 fps for a long time if user accepts 900p/720p rendering (which series s does)
