My router died today so I naturally went out and replaced it and got a router with wireless functionality. It is a Dlink DI-600 series router.

I live in an apartment complex and would rather not have people stealing my bandwidth. I've done the obvious things like turn off SSID and changed my password. What else should I be doing?

Disable broadcast SSID
Enable MAC address filtering.
Turn on WPA or WEP encryption.

Thats about it I think.

It wouldn't hurt to kill your cable modem when you're not using it.
