Well i got sucked into another anime, this thing is soooooo good. But i just came here to say this..

Now that i got that out of the way..one of the best shows ive seen. Right up there with one piece, naruto, and berzerk. Just what i need, another anime addiction.

Its an amazing series. I wasnt to impressed with the premise at first but man once the story starts to develop its great.

It gets WAY better after the first several episodes and around episode 22 you'll be a certified FMA addict.

The first two episodes are "okay." Then it kind of meanders for a little while (though most of those "villain of the week style episodes and early flashbacks end up VERY important, unlike most anime of this type). Episode 7 is the first one where you can really sense you're watching something special, and it pretty much just builds from there. Once you hit the early 10s, the plot really starts to roll forward, and once it gets going it never really stops. And once you're well into the 20s, you're completely and totally sold.

But perhaps most importantly, the amazing thing is that it KEEPS GETTING BETTER. Every week. It just builds and builds. Nothing can be taken at face value. You can't accept that a character is "good" or "bad." And you can never guess where the whole thing is going.

So yeah, after one episode I thought "well, this maybe has some potential, but I don't see why it's THAT great." But I kept watching and it really was that damn good.

I like FMA but Naruto > FMA 2 reasons:

Ninjas >> all

As much as I like FMA i have a feeling its going to get into typical anime creationism, philosophy, religion mumbo jumbo ie Trigun, eva, GITS, every square rpg, etc etc. Thats why i liked cowboy bebop so much it knew what it was and didnt try to explain the meaning of the universe.

IMO Naruto has the potential to be better then FMA but that's it so far. Especially with with the last several anime episodes and the entire manga arc we're in right now.
