Bullshit. Create the characters. Use existing characters. These swaps are embarrassing when there is a wealth of other opportunities already in existence.

One of the coolest charas in the DCU and doesn't require any palette swaps. He would have made me feel proud about this film, instead of shaking my head.

I think it's going to suck just b/c I don't like Zack Snyder style, the only thing I am hoping for is Goyer and Nolan is able to compensate for Snyder's ineptitude.
 
They can't have strange minorities just pop up in the film. They got to make them familiar, sneak them under the radar by hiding them in something that safe and known.
 
The question you need to ask is whether the material is suited to Snyder's sensibilities as a director.

I agree with Dan that the only thing anybody should be concerned about is the script which is apparently still having work done on it, despite being in the midst of filming.

IMO, in all of Snyder's movies, there are flashy and wonderful CG scenes but there exist an overuse and an eventual dependence. Why? because the film itself lacks any character development or coherent plot. That is why I am laying my hopes in CN and DG, doing an excellent job.

can Laurence lose like 30 lbs before the role? I'm tired of seeing his swollen ass on film. He looked like Grimace in Predators.

Also, they should rename his character Furious White, and he can drive Superman to the ghetto and show him the projects, and deliver a speech in front of gang bangers.
 
The majority of the responses in this thread only help promote the stigma surrounding the black race... Why do we need to "react" to the character being played by a black actor? Why? Nick Fury is so awesome because of Sam L. Jackson, and I don't even know who the fuck Nick Fury is! Now that I actually stop and imagine a white guy with an eyepatch trying to come off as badass as Sam L., I realize that Nick Fury is so cool in the Iron Man films only because he's none other than Sam Jackson and not a white person. Because of the way he speaks, because of his aggressiveness, because of his mannerisms, because the dude is fuckin' BLACK.

Actually i'm of the opposite mind. I have no problem with Nick Fury being black (shit I was one of the few thinking a black Captain America would have been awesome) I just hate that they cast Samuel L. Jackson. He's become a parody of himself at this point, and seeing him on screen is distracting.
