No dead pixels, but one dead LED behind the power button (there should be four green lights, mine only has three.) It came like that, but I figured it was silly to exchange it. I mean, how often do you get an LCD with no dead pixels?
This monitor is actually a replacement for another one I took back which had a single black (dead) pixel and about 10 lit ones. With this monitor the stuck pixels are at least all lit but there is just so many of them. CMV actually offer a 0 dead pixel warranty and they can because they test each monitor for dead pixels before packaging and they seperate them into two tiers, with dead pixels and without dead pixels. Because because I got the monitor for cheap the warranty doesn't apply (as I ended up with a couple from the dead pixel tier), and since I couldn't be bothered taking the monitor back for another exchange I'm stuck with it.
I'm nervously waiting for my Dell 2001 FP (or whatever the hell it is) to come, and pray I get no dead pixels. I mean, if I do, I can return it, but dont want the hassle.
I got a Dell 17" LCD and there was a dead pixel right out of the box. I've never exchanged it, though. It is annoying at times, but I can live with it.
