Of all the new features added over the years /remake is the one I appreciate most. Got into a match of flex and just didn't feel like playing. It was good to know that I wasn't screwing my own team out of a likely loss had I decided to stay for the match.

it's less significant cos no one is buying duskblade at lvl 1 but still, pretty funny

also they're making the slow melee only cos ofc adcs are abusing it lol

edit: ppl on twitter are saying the real problem is the lack of a cooldown, and i can kinda see that making it too hard to balance, and also i feel like that promotes some really weird gameplay? like hey i attack you then i hide in a brush then i attack you more, oh no you warded the brush i was in! etc.

idk, feels weird

This is the bigger problem. The damage can always be toned down, but by not having a cooldown it'll create a situation where the item will be so fundamental to certain champions either Duskblade will be tuned around them, or they will be tuned around duskblade (Kha'Zix without a doubt, a few others to a less extent).

It's honestly a poorly thought out item. I really wonder how far back Riot's institutional memory goes. Adding significant burst damage outside of a champion's kit always ends up causing problems.

i like it, i generally don't play lux in a very teamfight-y way but this potentially gives her a lot of utility so she gets to help in more ways than just oneshotting ppl from fog of war (this is all i do)

i don't like that it promotes ambushing people since that's kinda lame, but i don't think it's that bad of an item

the internal cooldown sounds like something they should do since yeah, it's weird that it doesn't have one and it might mean bad things for balance

the buff is that if she hits her w on u twice second time it shields double

that's pretty sizeable if ur team can coordinate around it, she can potentially shield her team for like 700 hp or something

Played some Maokai support. It reminds me Nautilus support, at least it does when Naut support was a viable thing before his year long drip feed of nerfs, but I still preferred Nautilus support. First game did well bot, got Cait fed. Didn't matter. Top, Mid, and Jungle got smashed. Second game me and MF lost against a Lee Sin support. Lane was marginally in our favour but then she just wouldn't stop doing stupid shit. She ate every Lee and Lucian Q thrown her way.

Had a good laugh after the game looking at MF's stats. She was S6 plat, and it was so obvious this dumbass paid to get boosted it actually cheered me up quite a bit.

It's immensely frustrating to feel like I'm getting better at this game, slowly as it might be, but I keep losing no matter what. Apparently I've won 11 of my last 20. It doesn't feel like it all. Ever since I went to 12 games over .500 and got smashed non-stop until I dropped to 15 games under, feels like every game is a loss until the winning screen comes. Fucking depressing.

Ok played some ranked flex as Sona support.

Played 9 placement matches, won a measly 3 games. And the match making is still a complete joke, one game was played against a team of full premades for example. None of my team was premade.

Also the game suffers BADLY from lag. I have a AAA 100/100 fiber connection and a steady 25-26 ms all the time. Yet every other game i get reconnect and get stuck for like 10-20 seconds at a time, like really wtf?!

I have lost a number of games due to these connection issues, and it's not on my part either. This game is the ONLY game i have that has suffered from this. And it's not every match either, it happens randomly and if that match has lag it's pretty much lost.

So i dunno if i wanna continue playing, i have played some S- games on Sona now and have a lvl 5 mastery after playing couple of days now, but the connection issues has gotten even worse since. ffs....

Do you use a VPN? When I forget to turn my off I get lag spikes even if my ping is the same (hell, sometimes it's lower than usual).

Very weird reading the thread about riot getting rid of normal games stats from sites like op.gg. Sounds like it was one guy in charge of the data and doesn't want to maintain it anymore because the rioter commenting keeps phrasing it as "it was his wish and we're to follow it" seems like some within may not agree with it either. Probably just one guy at Riot not wanting everyone to see all of his normals AP graves games or something. lol

It's not that big of deal to me, but more stats and info is always welcome and fun to look at. Just odd some one at Riot thinks they're 'protecting' us by trying to make normal game info private.

if this is the thing you're thinking of, then it doesn't read like it's one riot developer's whim at all, but i can't tell if you got that impression from there or it was somewhere else. i can't really get much from the reddit thread cos reddit is a cesspool and rioters get downvoted cos reddit is a really bad website

i think it's not such a great idea, before playing much ranked i used to exclusively play normal games and i enjoyed looking at my normal games stats to see which ones were my best champions and whatnot, but i can see where they're going with trying not to add meaningful consequence to your ranked matches.

they're planning on adding a service to their api so websites can authenticate users so that they know it's you and then they can show you your own stats, which seems to me like it fixes the big issue with the change

i'd say the best idea would be to continue delivering stats in the same way until that change goes through

more than anything i wish riot would actually do the stat tracking league deserves already. overwatch is pretty good at that, even if win % are BEYOND FUCKED

so i guess im a teemo one trick now, granted im only playing ranked flex and i somehow got placed into bronze III but I'm enjoying the stompy games. they're kind of cathartic.

I'm on NA if anyone wants to let me feed on pretty much any other role/champion

i have some issues with ivern's gameplay but as a whole package i think he's one of the most interesting champions in a while so excited to see what they come up with next

agreed on the part about reddit being stupid and downvoting the Rioters comments, gotta kinda dig to find his comments which is sad, dude's just telling everyone what he knows, upvote and have a discussion. He did edit and said there is internal discussion about it now. Like you said it seems they've been planning this for awhile, It's just weird to me that don't have the replacement in place and just say ''in the future''. I'm not mad or anything, just odd to take stats away from people in the name of keeping public normal games private information.

yeah it's normals so i don't think the matchmaking was quite right lol

i should play more karthus, i enjoy playing him quite a bit

Finally unlocked Sona mastery lvl 6 after some good games now and some tinkering.

Also.. when i play in Bronze IV. Why is still the match making FUCKING bonkers? Why am i matched WITH unranked players against Silver 3-2 rank players? Few things pisses me off so much in MP games as uneven games, and most matches i have played my team has been stomped AF or my team has stomped. Really Riot? REALLY?
Why the hell are you not matched with and against players in Bronze IV or III at the VERY least?

So the point of ranked is still to piss people off as earlier years?

That sucks. You'll probably get some better games in solo ranked rather than flex queue since you don't have to account for higher elo friends queueing with their low elo friends.

This shitty match making seems constant in this game.

20 games played, 6 wins and 14 losses. So i guess the systems works in the way you ARE supposed to lose as many games as possible. Shitty game with shitty match making system, yes i am salty but this makes me so.

You're looking at people's Solo/Duo ranking. Flex ranking is completely separate.

It's never going to be fair in Flex. That's why the mode is shit. Stop playing Flex.

Flex is kind of just a ranked version of normal games. Ranked Flex has a separate MMR from Soloq and normals, so the matchmaking usually has wildly different skill levels. Don't play flex and expect to have anything remotely resembling an appropriate match. That's just how it works when you have a completely separate MMR that's off because the majority of players are playing solo/duo queue instead.

Ok didnt know that played the wrong type of ranked. Thought Ranked Flex was the new good type of ranked that would be more fair. But alas. Ok i will try solo/duo.

Ranked flex is intended to be a mix between ranked 5-man teams and just 'ranked with friends'. Solo/duo is supposed to be more of a test of you as an individual because it's harder to get carried by a group of friends.

i've had bad matchmaking on flex but it's generally not super bad since the rank restrictions mean u can't do the thing you do on normals of queing with a masters and a bronze friend and let the matchmaking algorithm deal with it

most of the time i don't have many grievances with it

THE RIGHT TO RULE

I'm happy to announce that our next big VGU after Evelynn will be none other than the leader of Noxus himself, Swain. To start off, his visuals haven't held up very well over time. Swain is supposed to be the the all-powerful ruler of Noxus, and he doesn't really look the part at the moment. His theme is also a bit confused with his actual gameplay—he's a Master Tactician, yet he plays more like a Drain Tank/Battle Mage.

His gameplay has also been a design problem for a while. If Swain gets behind, he doesn't really make an impact on the game. If he gets ahead, he becomes a unkillable tank that can also output massive amounts of damage. Swain also has a lot of his power pushed into abilities and effects that enemies can't really do anything about. Looking at him as a whole, we feel there's a great opportunity to revisit Swain and truly deliver a champion worthy of leading one of the most ruthless and iconic nations of Runeterra. We'll be updating his visuals to better match his theme as the leader of Noxus, as well as doing a major overhaul on his gameplay. We want to keep the ”essence" of Swain intact, even though we will be completely rebuilding his entire kit from scratch.

We are still very early on Swain but I will be back with more details later in his development.

This game really brings out the worst of all gamers out of the wood work. Last provisional game i played reminds me why i have barely played LoL 2 years prior.

This fucking Ashe player had his little feelings hurt at the start of the game and when some one told him "shut up". Nothing more nothing less and then decided now shall i grief and troll the game cus of this.

Just started by walking into enemies and their turret and then proceeded to grief and being a complete shit bird rest of the game.

This fucking game and its player base man. It's really a basket of deplorables quite often.

I guess you're matched with the worst dumbasses so you lose most of the provisional games? Have 1 win and 6 losses. And i dont get below B grade myself.

eh, everyone gets matched with people like that and still manage to climb. i once went 2-8 on placements and once got 9-1, that shit happens, both times made it to plat without much issues, and better players than me have done much better

your rating at the end of the game is mostly meaningless as an evaluation of your play, so it doesn't matter if u got b or s+, i've gotten s+ while playing like poop, ignore that thing for purposes other than mastery points

just post ur games so ppl can give u advice (if you're willing to take it) and report trolls when you get them, that's all

i've played a bunch of overwatch and ppl there are no better, so stop shitting on the game just cos u had a bad streak -__-
