Leaked Warcraft Trailer (new)

I like how they declare its going to be a worldwide hit. No hope of success, they're just fucking demanding it.

Why June though, this shit has Xmas epic all over it. Releasing june 10 means #1 for a week and then it gets knocked off by Finding Dory and then forgotten when Independence Day 2 drop the next week. Week 4 you have Star Trek and Ghostbusters and suddenly Warcraft isn't even charting. So stupid.

It was planned for Christmas 2015, then Star Wars happened...

If they put this out in December, it'll get eaten alive by Star Wars.

I haven't played any Blizzard game but that looks like a Warcraft movie. Never thought I'd see the day but that looks dumb in a good way. Maybe will watch!

Looks pretty ... dull and generic, but this could not be a problem if the story is deep and engaging.
I fear a lot useless filler CGI scene just to wow the younger audience.

Leave it to neogaf to deliver excessive hate to any and everything without even giving it time for a fair and informative opinion to form.

I really don't mind CGI, but I don't know, so far it really looks like a Hobbit-type of film where it seems to artificial to really immerse. I'll wait for the actual HD trailer to comment on this further though, but so far I'm a bit concerned.

I can't really think of many films that look like it

To me the Warcraft art and such I've seen has always looked generic to me, so it's more because of that. This does seem to bring WC to the big screen, it's just that the art style itself looks derivative/generic to me.

Let's all hate on potato footage...

This bit is more action oriented than the initial stuff we got to see, I think it'll be fine, way too much hate for no solid reason in here.

I think it's cool they're making a two hour Blizzard cutscene. And maybe it's (potential) success will light a fire under Blizzard's ass to start working on Warcraft 4.

The CG looks really good considering the limitations of getting a quality leak. The characters look on point but the scenery bothers me to an extent. I think a lot of people will be excited for this movie once a proper trailer is uploaded on youtube.

It was moved to Spring but Legendary was feeling very confident in the film and pushed it into June to make it a summer blockbuster.

Again, don't presume that the film's going to be a blockbuster. It's in the middle of a packed summer film season. It's got a week, two tops, to make an impact before it gets buried behind other releases.

Did that Comic Con teaser from a couple years ago ever leak?

Can't really watch a CGI-heavy movie trailer in potato quality. Gonna wait until it's officially released to watch it.

I've been into Warcraft ever since Orcs and Humans, and I've spent ~7 years with World of Warcraft. I'm there day one.

I don't want to really make a call on it yet, but right now it's leaving me pretty unenthusiastic. I wish they'd release a proper trailer already so the quality of these leaks wouldn't impact viewers the way it has in some cases so far.

Good, it's a Warcraft movie, not a documentary.

So, then it's fine if the viewer don't care about its characters' or their goals because it's a Warcraft movie and not a documentary?

It's not good for any film to feel fake - regardless of what genre it is.

I think prosthetic Warcraft Orcs would look more fake than CGI ones. The proportions of Warcraft Orcs aren't anywhere near humans.

Also, CGI is needed for the Orcs to properly portray emotion and be sympathetic. The LotR Orcs didn't couldn't show much emotion, which was fine because they were just monsters.

Looks fine overall, pretty cool in some places. The mage slamming the staff down looked a little goofy though. Perhaps a bit campy even for the setting?

I think it looks cool.

Yet it's great that all the footage we've seen have been from potatoes because they still wont RELEASE A FUCKING TRAILER. I'm sure the potato footage has been making good impressions towards everyone. Who seriously heads marketing on this movie? It's nuts!

I expect this movie to be of Hobbit quality. ie mediocre in every way.

That scene they released months ago of the orcs going through the portal showed me everything I needed to know. complete disconnection with characters. bland look.

Yea they're totally doing it wrong. These kinds of leaks don't generate hype like would if it were 2003. If anything it's deflating or causes people to be indifferent.

Bad ass. I always thought that there needed to be more magic thrown about in LOTR and game of thrones.

Gimme a pyrl blast and a shadow bolt.

An infernal!?!

Yo I'm fucking in there.
