Learned I’m Going to Be Fired

I'm just a gate security guard, no MOD security clearance beyond NTK.

I am basically one of those dudes in Metal Gear that stands at an entrance for 12 hours a night and walks to the guard room a few times 😅
lol that's even worse, you can be compromised to let people onto site, should you not have a basic Level 1B CTC clearance?

I've been a security guy for my entire life. Surprised you didn't need additional clearance. When I was a security guard it took 6 months to be vetted.

oh I was vetted, the facility is not considered active, and so I believe the credentials I have and the fact that I used to have more clearances in the past probably covered what was needed. I literally never have to go on site, the gate is at a train station and workers are transported in via a little shuttle.

It's a great job really because it's quite remote, no actual security work is really needed. We've never had any incidents so I spend most of my time listening to audiobooks / browsing gaf when my supervisor is not around..

I don't have much constructive to say to TC, other than your sales and marketing skills should be highly attractive to many companies, in a plethora of industries. Literally EVERYONE is selling/marking products and need people to travel to sell them. It's usually not even important to know the product- if you CAN sell and have that track record- you are desirable to employers and can learn what you need to sell virtually anything. Don't use the VP as a reference, and your own sales successes will speak for themselves.

It stinks your current company is basically going under, but brush up that resume, and I truly believe you will land on your feet.

Good to hear that you already got some job offers, OP.
Just one question: What took you so long to leave this shitshow?
Oh and make sure to take some customers with you!
Longer post than I've ever made on here so I didn't want to go too deep into every facet of this.

To expand on that specifically I initially started the job with 3 guys I really like working with that I consider friends, not just co workers.

One left to be a director for another company, the second guy had been friends with him for 20 years so he naturally brought him over once he had enough accounts brought on board for him to handle, and he already called me when he left saying he wants me too once he has customers on board. The issue is I have to make a play now, but both of them put my name out to two companies and both of the 3 im talking to are because of them.

The 3rd guy is being sent back to Korea come November.

No company is perfect so year one was good learning a lot, having fun, selling, etc.

Year two all of what I posted just happens and it all goes off rails. I figured hey this is temporary, they'll take care of me compensation wise if I'm the last one and being loyal, and the VP was my one major red flag.

I'm hindsight I should've started looking when I knew buddy 2 was going to bail out. It was game over 100% once he left.

First things first, Alvin from Alvin and the Chipmunks once said, "be a man, buy a tank".

Second is that you have some fair grievances and a person like me takes your side into account but there's always 2 sides.

Your happiness needs to be priority 1. Also, never let this deter you from giving a company who properly invests in you 100%. I know it sucks and I'm sure your a good standing Samaritan but once this subsided, take this into the best you there has been

And if you're married or have kids, be a better person for them. Be a good person for yourself and don't look for workers or corporations give you affirmation so you can let these same emotions roll off you like water.

Be close with God or find that thing or place that grounds you. Rocky in Rocky 5 said that his gym is outside. There's a lot of energy out there that is free. You better find yourself first and lean on something good like God or whatever you want to fill that because the real struggles is people at war or constant turbulence figuratively or literally.
