Anyhow, about my role. I'm an item giver. I'm a masks sales man according to the fluff. I have no idea what items I'm giving away so I have no idea if the items are good for town, but I presume they are good because I am town myself. When it came to targets I chose Natiko on N1 because I read him very closely. I felt fairly confident that he was town. Splinter was a kind of odd choice, but again reading through him closely I couldn't see any of his scum tells... Actually the real reason was that I made a list, randomized the list and chose whatever was at the top, read that closely, that was Splinter, and I couldn't see any reason why Splinter was scum.
((Extra thoughts: The main tell was a slight lack of engagement. Splinter was late for the D1 lynch. Scum were probably quite aware of acohr's situation and I don't see scum!Splinter staying silent there.))
When I chose cabot I didn't know what any of my previous items had been so I was scared of hitting scum accidentally. I couldn't choose Splinter again because I can't pick the same person consecutively. So I chose to just play it safe and choose cabot. If he died at least I didn't give it to scum.
When it comes to today and lynch targets for me it's Sophia and AbsolutBro. I think if you look at Sophia, for me at least it's quite clear she's not playing as normal. She's asking a lot of questions, but they all seem meaningless - they don't progress - and there are no real conclusions drawn from the. If you look back, especially D1, and look at everybody she's suspicious you'll see they're almost all confirmed town now. I mean it's ok, we all make bad reads - I read Sorian as scum on D1 - , but a player as good and experienced as Sophia should also be making some town reads.
((Extra thoughts: ...and not just be suspicious of everybody))
When she does make a read of someone she's suspicious of you'll see that she doesn't go very far and never really going hard. I know she's generally a cautious player, but she's really cautious in this game. I mean she's one of the top posters and she didn't even vote on D2. How does that even happen. I'm almost thinking she's hiding a weird side effect from her scum role.
When it comes to AbsolutBro it's similar in a way. One thing I see with both of them is they're kinda pushing back theories. This reminds me of Pop mafia where when Crab died at night we saw that he had been given some cop roles. Alignment cop and role cop. I was looking through his posts and figuring out the order of his roles and who he had cleared. And it was very obvious Burbeting and Sawneeks, both of whom were scum, were trying to push back and always being suspicious instead of trying to solve the game and figure things out. I think you can see from the start of today AbsolutBro first of all throwing shade at me ((Kinda stopped my train of though, I was at my destination. ABs opening isn't the best example, but it feels like he's just throwing shade to spread confusion. There's no conclusions drawn from why I tried to start a new wagon)) and Sophia in general this game is very skeptical. She doesn't seem engaged in trying to figure out this game, figure out who are scum and town, she just seems engaged at trying to make us doubt everything.
