Ok. I hate myself for it but if I can get the starter pack with Supergirl in it for $50 then I'm going for it and maybe try to sell the rest of the set.

All franchises have their own adventure world, and now all individual year 2 sets get their own battlegrounds as well (meaning some franchises have more than one arena)

So, do we know if these new worlds/level packs/story packs add to the story from Year 1 at all? Or are they more standalone in nature?

I went back looking for where I'd read that Supergirl would be released individually. Couldn't find it and gave up.
Regardless, I'll still bet on it being released individually at some point. Expending the effort to add a character to the game and then restricting it to just one console, and only buyers of the starter pack, just doesn't make a lot of business sense.

They've said it'll be available in Hire-a-Hero after the exclusivity ends. No official news of a separate release.
But I'll suck it up - got the game w/figure for $50 on Amazon (and Target will have it for that same price next week), and that's about what I paid for just Green Arrow. Now I have a backup portal.

I suspect the people who want her fall into one of three categories:
1) Collectors who gotta catch 'em all
2) Players who know she has a unique gameplay ability and want to be able to 100% the game
3) People who love Melissa Benoist's adorkable interpretation of the character on TV

Supergirl is cool and does unique stuff. A better Superman pretty much
Being hard to get just makes people want her even more on top of that
Arrow is more rare but people care less because he doesn't really do anything interesting

Best Buy has the 40 off starter packs also. So with the Gameclub thing its 40. And I have 10 dollars on rewards so screw it I'm going for it.

My local Target had the Supergirl starter packs out, but the computer wouldn't let them sell it. Oddly, even though the other console versions rang up at the sale price, the fun packs I wanted to get didn't show up as buy one, get one. Since the ad clearly said that all fun packs are BOGO this week; the employees were nice enough to mark them down as half price for me and they said they would look into it.

I saw some of the new stuff in a Best Buy yesterday but didn't try to pick anything up because it was full price except my GCU.

Yeah they're probably going to push the update on release day (or late night the day before) so it sounds like you're out of luck with that unfortunately.
I'm really eager to pick up this new wave and start playing again, though. Which kind of surprised me since I felt like I was done with the game before. But all this new stuff sounds so neat.
It's too bad Sonic isn't until later on though, he's probably the level/world I'm most looking forward to playing around with. Plus I just like characters who can run fast. The Flash is really fun in other Lego games.

Is this game 60fps? I had read somewhere that Lego SW TFA was 30fps on consoles? I had previously thought that all of these games were 60fps? I have been playing through the previous Lego games on PC with my girlfriend, and I can see us buying Lego Dimensions at some point soon!
Telltale's given up on 60fps on consoles, which is a shame because they can be run at that speed on pretty damn weak PCs and the original PS2 titles all ran at 60.
Yes, every new franchise will include a new hub. Including the A-Team, since The Wizard of Oz also only has one character.
That's a definite shame! I am still planning on getting the game at some point, but I was just hoping that the framerate would match that of my PC! Thanks for the reply.

Very disappointingly however, and contrary to earlier interviews with TT, the current Cyborg does not unlock the teen titans world, unless all the new stuff is locked until the 30th or something.

Dunno, pretty sure Telltale's given up on 60FPS too.
What platform? (I would have expected only 360 to need a manager like that, as everything's baked into patches on XB1, PS3, and PS4.)

I thought it was just that Cyborg would become the TTG Cyborg while in that world, not that he was going to unlock the TTG world.
I don't think we've seen the Powerpuff Girls either.
That's what I'm hoping.
At one of the interviews at (iirc) Gamescom recently they specifically said he'd work, and they were thus keeping value for older figures. I know because I bought him on the back of that interview

I'll be watching this thread over the next week or so with much interest. We bought the starter pack last year and thought it was good enough, the campaign wasn't as good as some previous efforts with too many small basic areas but it was fun. Got the back to the future level pack too and found it way too short. Definitely open to buying the story packs and the adventure time level pack thing, but kind of want to see feedback and thoughts first on length and quality.

I've seen that Sainsbury's in the UK are selling the starter pack for £45, along with the DC Superman fun pack. That was around the price I was happy to pay for, so can see myself getting this very soon.
That said, I will need to buy a second DualShock 4 for the girlfriend....!

All of wave 6 minus The A-Team comes to over $250 from EB Games Australia. I tried to get what I could, and should be arriving on Friday. I will play while mourning FFXV.

The BTTF one was definitely the skimpiest. The Portal and Doctor Who ones were the best two (much longer and original stories instead of retellings), well worth the price. The Ghostbusters one is okay - reasonable length but still a retelling. The Midway one has basically no story at all, it'/ just an excuse to play some 80s arcade games, so your opinion will be based on how you like those.
