It did seemingly very poorly elsewhere, what makes them think it’s going to perform well on xbox

The best part?
The game is actually QUITE GOOD. No open world BS, no need to grind for upgrades BS, not many meaning things to level up BS. Yes, the fights and mechanics are more on a simplistic way, but I'm tired of the need to read 100 pages manual to know which combo is the best.

World is gorgeus as everything is made from Lego bricks. Humour is fine. Plot is similar to original game, though some liberty was chosen for the plot (no dark and grim info about Faro and what he did to stop people from reclaiming the world.

For full price definitely not (rather short), but on discount? Everyone should try it.

I love the reactions of "why would they release the game on XBOX to sell only 5 copies?"😂😂🙃

When 98% of Studios and publishers release their games on Xbox..... Maybe the question should be to understand that there is a reason for that to happen and understand that surely releasing those games and ports to Xbox is somehow profitable and interesting for one reason or another.....🤷

The rest, whether you like to hear it or not, leaves the feeling that it is more of a reaction of anger and frustration at seeing games on the hated platform of those who supposedly say they are not interested in it, or it does not affect them.Of course It's certainly not concern for the finances of the specific Studio or editor🤗

PS. Regarding this Lego Horizon. It is a special case because the license is shared but has been released on multiple platforms. In fact, the developer himself did not close the door on an XBOX version a few months ago....
That is to say, the doubt for an XBOX port is more because Sony is involved, otherwise it would be nothing more than a situation that occurs in 98% of the cases in any release to have a version or port to XBOX.

EDIT: Our well-known for his special contribution to the forum demigod demigod has just rewarded me for this comment with 8 simultaneous reactions of 😂 to my last 8 comments in different threads and with a different topic.... 🙋🤸

But none of those is a 1st party game.
Although Lego Horizon isn't fully a 1st party, it's more half licensed, half 1st party.
They could have called "Building Blocks Horizon" and have it be fully 1st party.
Doesn’t matter, either way it could be heading to Xbox. It had already released on the Switch. Horizon is a property of Playstation.

Unless they're planning on throwing Sony some millions to have it up on gamepass as a bullet point, I don't see the point. The Xbox userbase isn't tangibly expanding the sales potential of a game that flopped on exponentially more popular systems.

it's a UE5 game that totally flopped, nobody really cares about, and is relatively cheap to port. That's why. I still doubt it would sell anything near enough to make it worthwhile. it wouldn't surprise me if they maintained an Xbox build throughout development and decided to just finish it up.

What a nonsense rumor.

LEGO Horizon Adventures had a mediocre critical reception and flopped on the PS5/PC/Switch (a combined pool of over 250M potential customers). Not only there's no money to be made on Xbox - a decaying ecosystem where games don't sell - but also there's no indication from any sort of financial analysis that such port would move the needle for the game in any way, in fact, the game would probably only do low five figures in revenue if launched on Xbox.

But not only that, it also doesn't make sense from Sony's point of view either. Like, what reason would there be for them to want to pump up the LEGO Horizon numbers when this particular product was nothing more than a rounding error from them in the bigger scheme of things? Not so long ago they didn't bother in making Destruction AllStars F2P in order to perhaps give it a second life, nor were interested in reworking Concord after all the money spent on it in hopes of a successful relaunch - why not? Because Sony doesn't buy into these sort of sunken cost fallacies. They've literally gone as far as shutting down the very promising The Last Of Us Online instead of seeing it through knowing very damn well that they'd still sell millions of copies of it, regardless of the quality of the post-launch support that they would've been able to provide for it.

And so are you telling me that the same company that has been operating like that over the last couple of years is suddenly going to panic and self-harm their own brand over a AA children's game outsourced to an external studio and made over the course of ~30 months?

Doesn't make any sense... and I haven't even gotten into the questionable reliability of the no-name source of these "rumors".

If a port development was in an advanced process... I would definitely see an agreement with MS/Gamepass before throwing away the work done. In a game that I don't think is expensive to port, any extra sales or income adds up to amortize the cost of the project. The strange situation here is only that Sony is involved and perhaps other interests come into play. Otherwise it would be a 3rd party project that has a version or is ported to XBOX like 98% of the games are. Also including those that were a flopp in sales with more reason.

Same media outlet months ago had Bloodborne and Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart listed as coming to Xbox so i think they might not be very reliable. Both than again with Xbox going 3rd party going forward even stranger things could happen.

No way this happened lol.

Demigod, The Ultimate Freegunner, is easy to ignore, whenever I see a reaction by it I instantly think of anything else by way of reflex.

They don't actually want any sort of level headed discourse about gaming, just a site where their fat fingers can smash the keyboard and input symbols that praise Sony for... not doing much. Why not just go to a Playstation-only discussion forum if you're going to have a coronary episode every time another platform is talked about.

tldr: cunts.

Anyone here actually play it? Was it as good as other lego games? I havent played a Lego game in years, but the few I played,I really enjoyed… when this get to the 15-10$ range,I might grab it

Also,if Phil wrote out a check for game pass,I can see Sony taking that, just to try to break even for this game (if even that’s possible)

I am currently playing through Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 with my son and that game is a steaming pile of shit.

The Lego Batman games and LOTR games are very good however.
