Where's the funny?...

Also, I wonder if this will be the last Lego game of the year. Last year, we had 3. So far, we've only got two for this year. Oh right, Lego City.

I've never played any of the Lego games. What kind of multiplayer can I expect from this? Would love to play this with friends.

There won't be an Evil campaign (I'm sure) but you'll be able to play with the villains.

Silly platforming. Nothing serious, or hard, but entertaining, especially if you like the source material.

+1 for using the original voices and music. Seriously it baffles me as to how some of these LOTR game trailers use such shitty generic music when they have access to some of the greatest OSTs of all time.

Will buy

I've never bought a lego game, but I've played a fair chunk of a few of them with friends and using voices sorta deflated this instantly for me. Best reason to play the Harry Potter ones was to see goofy pantomime versions of everything, and I was really looking forward to seeing silly versions of Lord of the Ring stuff

Using the voice tracks from the film itself is a fantastic idea. No sound alikes. Looking forward to this one.

This poster pulses with an appeal so broad the typical restraints of our societies fall by the wayside.
I've never had even an ounce of interest in playing a LEGO game before, but that might change with this.

On this Lego game, I think using the movie voices is a great idea.
Would MUCH rather hear Gandalf say "You shall not pass!!", than hear some typical Lego game grunts & throttal sounds.

Played almost all the Lego games, as rentals and playing my young son's copies.
But this one I will probably buy myself (you know, for all us kids) near the release date.

Not too sure about the voices. Will get this nonetheless.

I wonder how they will do the localized versions. Have a specific dub for each country? You can't have 6 year olds play an English voiced game with German subtitles.

I know people think these games are getting overkill, but I hope they have these games when I have kids. They are so incredibly fun from what I've played

Day 1, easily. LEGO Gandalf shouting the "You shall not pass!" line was gold. I really like that they're using dialogue straight from the movies, and of course dat Howard Shore soundtrack.

I thought the Lego group mandated that Lego figures couldn't speak? And could only make basic gestures and emotes... e. Majorly beaten. Weird.

I would imagine they didn't know how the game would be received back with the first Star Wars one, and couldn't afford voices. The mute characters were popular, so they stuck with it. Now they want to try something new.

Hype! I have LEGO Batman 2 ordered for my VITA. If it doesn't disappoint and end up being a seriously gimped version of the game (yes I already know it has no open world, sigh), I'll get the VITA edition of LotR too. Otherwise... PC all the way.

I think this may be the first decent LOTR game since... Well.... Ever, I guess!

War In The North is pretty fun with friends. I could do without the stupid 'go to town and try to make it more of an rpg' stuff, but the core gameplay was fun. Especially when you'd blow up a barrel next to your friend.

I found it bland and boring. That's just me though. I've tried to love these LOTR games, but it just hasn't happened yet. I love the Lego Star Wars games, so this LOTR may be my first one that I like!

I truly hope that the pre-order bonus is a Sauron minifig keychain to plot with my Mr. Freeze and Lex Luthor ones.

I've been looking forward for this for sooooo long, probably since playing the first Lego Star Wars on GameCube lol.

Figured LOTR would make a really good 'next' one after finishing SW haha, took awhile but we got there! Had no idea if there was actual Lego LOTR sets or not, I just knew I wanted the game.

I'm genuinely excited.

Both hack and slashes based on Two Towers and RotK were great, and Battle for Middle-Earth was tons of fun, if rather simplistic. There have been more decent-to-good LotR games than bad ones, IMO.

I first read it as a cool title for a boxing game.

but yeah, lego characters have that short arms problem

Seeing a lego game with voice acting done, and the potential to take most environments like castles and such and make it out of lego's this could do very well.
