I haven't gotten dressed up this year which sucks but tomorrow I'm going to an immersive theatre piece in a church call Witches. I've never been to an immersive theatre show before so should be interesting. I'll probably watch one of my vile French horror movies as well. Might go for my current fav: A L'interieur

In every age there are a handful of stupid as fuck conversations that apparently have to be had over and over ad nauseam.
They fear that including things that minorities can relate to in media (like Bioware does for example) "takes away" the space intended for them. They think them as a majority deserves every last bit of everything.
Thankfully that is a loud minority and most people are not entitled little shits. 😎

Went out drinking last night with some friends and a mutual friend of theirs.
Had fun, but I'm feeling low the day after and not from a hangover or anything. Me and the mutual friend ended up making out a bit, but I don't think either of us were really attracted to the other. It was more like, nobody approached either of us so we ran out of options.

I'll just share this here.
I used to do Work for the Dole (25 hours a week work to get unemployment payments) in mental health but this job agency running the placement made an administrative error (they screw everything up, like hundreds of hours of work I sent them not being recorded, being totally wrong on where I was working and when, and having to work an extra month that should have been a month off, that they aren't respecting by giving me that time later!!!) and the mental health place wasn't showing up in their books as a place they can send people. Even though they arranged it last year in a long process on OH&S checks and things. So I was sent to an op shop to work instead and I volunteer at the mental health place separately for half a day a week.
A supervisor at this mental health place told me two months ago, around the time this switch happened, that another supervisor higher up would see about arranging the placement again. It was said in a way that I assumed it wouldn't happen as it is a lot of work to arrange and since the last time the other organisation stuffed up. It sounded like I was being told 'we don't think you're worth all of this work even though you are great and we don't want to make it awkward when you come in to volunteer so we are saying it is this other person responsible'. So I didn't press it any further, asking for follow ups.
Today, I find out today that they were mixed up about who was handling it, the two supervisors both thinking the other was doing it. So now that is starting to happen. Hopefully it doesn't take too long and it lasts in their records...

I was really desperate for a fighting game so I bought Mortal Kombat XL. I'm having a lot of fun with it but I'm really upset with how fugly they made Subzero in it to the point where I'm questioning if he should still be my main. They really f**ked up his klassic costume too :-(.

Speaking of games (bad segue I know), anyone picked up Skyrim SE yet?
Well I think the top one is MK2 and the bottom is MK 1 so they're both klassic I guess.
The top one looks more like ninja garb to me and other looks very costume-y and I hate all that spandex. Different strokes and all that.
I'm enjoying the game but the cast feels very b-tier compared to the previous one. I guess they used all the big names already and wanted to mix things up.
Also "speaking of games" ha ha. Talk about a phoned-in segue...

I considered it. I might wait until there are more reports about how the game holds up dozens of hours in, freezing-wise. Also the combat is bad in Skyrim. And I heard textures are very inconsistent in this version?
I didn't play much Fallout 4 so maybe Skyrim SE would have a similar fate. Or The Witcher 3 or Dragon Age: Inquisition, for that matter. Maybe I've grown tired of these sorts of games.

It's... Skyrim. Performance on PS4 seemed fine from what I played of it. Visuals are all over the place; atmosphere and environment can be gorgeous at times, character models and textures seem unchanged from the original PC release and can look pretty shitty. Five year old jank and bugs are intact. Story and combat (sans archery) are still mostly junk. $60 for this is... something.
And nicknames wouldn't be an option?
If you bought the Legendary Edition for PC you get it for free so it appeared this Wednesday in my Steam Library. Have yet to play it though. Here's a comparison of the original and the SE. High praise for the frame rate, sounds good.
