Thanks! Gay life has been good so far. Edinburgh is a gay friendly city, even if the scene isn't huge - there's an overall good acceptance of us and a feeling of safety. Definitely good to visit!

I had the unfortunate pleasure to get myself entangled with a person who has a very nasty attitude and character. This person is rude, dismissive, controlling and manipulative, and just a negative toxic individual overall. It turned into a very toxic relationship that was very unhealthy, physically, emotionally and spiritually (even though I'm an atheist). This experience made me feel very unsure about myself, insecure and a feeling of worthlessness. I hate myself for being unable to say no and stand up for myself. I hate myself for ever bringing myself into this, in the first place. Some days I just didn't know what I was feeling... However things have been good for the past month and feeling much better. I just need to focus on myself some more and be the better person wherever I am. I am slowly regaining my confidence and self-esteem.

No, not cynical at all and I appreciate this. I actually debated on cutting him off, or just going cold and seeing if he would react differently. I mean, he was like me, obese, and we both lost a lot of weight. Maybe he is playing the field? Holy fuck am I frustrated. My parents wanted to buy the house next door and I have been the middle guy with discussing things between the pair. Problem is its my dads "my way or no way" piss poor attitude. He continues to go off on me because " I dont grasp what x says" Well, I wasn't there, enlighten me, but he doesn't pay attention so its his dumbass fault.. I get certain aspects but goddamn if you don't do things his way. I swear he is an overgrown child.

For the record, my dad barks orders and will do nothing. He expects you to wait on him like a fucking emperor. I told him once I don't serve him, and never will. Not many people like my family because of him.

Ironically.... the family ONLY likes mine because of everything I've done for my neighbor. They consider me family and my dad acts like he is the reason for it all. They are only listening to my parents offer because of me, thats it. Sadly, they want x and my parents are a loooooong way off so I doubt it happens.

Now I wait to see if they accept the offer. Someone fucking shoot me, I want this to be over with now. Life has been a living hell since May and I am fed up and tired of everything.
