the only thing one can hope about Trumps reign is that it doesn`t turn as evil to LGBT community as many expect.

Mexicans, women(the ones that didn`t voted for him) and illegal inmigrants, Jesus :,(

His supreme court picks are against same sex marriage. It's a very real possibility that it gets overturned.

He will pick a supreme court that will try and possibly send it back to the states to decide, aka fuck people over wherever possible

Same with abortion, religion, discriminating against gays, etc

Trumps win is entirely the fault of the corrupt DNC. They had the perfect candidate in Bernie but chose to cheat the system in favor of her.

No Trumps win is because people are angry at the corruption in Washington (of which Hilary is the face of such corruption).

And no evidence? How about months and months of polls during the primary that showed Bernie beating Trump at margins in the double digits.

Believe me, I'm not happy about Trump winning. But we warned Hilary supporters this would happen and they chose to bury their heads in the sand.

not sure why yall afraid of no gay marriage, p sure that only way that would happen is constitutional amendment, which isn't really possible (unless I'm wrong and there's some other way post-SCOTUS ruling? there won't be another one overturning last year's within next 4 years lol)

I appreciate that the popular vote shows maybe half of America were on the same team, but the other half or more are bigots who don't want to reconcile that with where they put their support

Did you guys see my thread in Off Topic general about SCOTUS and marriage equality? It's worth a read - it put some of my anxiety at ease.

Something about me senses/prays that Trump isn't as anti-LGBT as he might be acting. I sense there was homophobic pandering during his campaign, but part of me really hopes he doesn't give a shit about us and finds bigger fish to fry.

Labeling the entire other side as bigots is part of what got us here. White America has responded accordingly. I am disappointed by the result, but when you antagonize the majority demographic, sometimes they'll take the rebellious "fuck you" position.

I honestly didn't think this would affect me so much, but... I just feel strange, empty, like I'm at the onset of a Great Depression (for my psyche). My already fragile emotional state can't handle this. Now I'm sitting here thinking about so many other things in my life and I'm like on the precipice of darkness. I'm sure to many (perhaps not in this thread) this sounds overly dramatic, though I suppose it would to a rich white straight person.

The fact that he had some noticeable support with women, minorities, AND LGBT+ is truly mind boggling. I just can't.
