Well...that sucks! Just won't be the same.
Like it wasn't obvious already. No showrunner said this.
A former writer claimed that some writers on the show weren't fans or actively disliked it. They made no mention of who or how many, and no showrunners were explicitly mentioned nor is this verifiable based on what is out today.
It's obviously nothing to do with that given he's done 3 series and almost certainly to do with scheduling with Superman projects.Cavill, a huge Witcher dork, doesn't want to partake in a show where the showrunners said they actively dislike the books and games?
Shocking development.
Cavill after every script readingThey were probably sick of Cavil pointing out their bad writing.
Is the casting actually that bad or people still upset triss was played by a different ethnicity? Because all the actors did a decent job.To be fair, I doubt the series was what Cavill originally wanted when he signed up. The writers were from another planet than the one The Witcher was created. A lot of really bad decisions (screen writing, production, casting) dragged this show down, and it seems like Cavill's love for the character and stories was the one and only reason it wasn't nearly as bad as Rings of Power. I'm sure he's crushed as much as the rest of us.
But hey, at least Supes is back.

I disagree Fred, this muhfuggah would have been 10x better than CavillInitially I thought Cavill was too bulky for Geralt but now I’m used to him and can’t see anyone else do this role as well.
Exactly my thought, gif an all
Hey that's the dude from Westworld. Had no idea he was a Hemsworth.should have cast the relatively unknown 3rd brother
In all fairness, Steve Toussaint's performance as Corlys Velaryon was fantastic.Netflix were probably really wanting....
you can't ruin something alredy ruined from day 1.
Oh wow, had no idea neither. ShockedHey that's the dude from Westworld. Had no idea he was a Hemsworth.
Rings of Power is great though. Have no clue how it matches the source material, but loved the characters and writing. To be fair, I doubt the series was what Cavill originally wanted when he signed up. It was/is. I would have his brown skinned, blonde haired babies myself. In all fairness, Steve Toussaint's performance as Corlys Velaryon was fantastic.

Yeah the script was shit. Casting a couple of ethnic minorities made no difference. Just another reason to shout woke though right?Only a smoothbrained troglodyte would blame actors for a shit script or casting decisions.
Cmon man, Henry carried the show.
