There's been enough weather anomalies the previous week and the storm moves suuuuper slow. I mean, it should be easy enough. Also, David has like a shitton of emergency supplies in his garage.
I mean, he also believes you that this random teacher at high school is a psychopath and murderer, why wouldn't he believe you about that?

Are you saying only the last day mattered and the other days were just instantaneously wiped from your memory and you had no emotional connection with those prior minutes whatsoever?

No, I'm talking about the other people the movie... it is about Bill Murray's self improvement, but the last day did happen and did have long lasting effects he had with the people involved, that was the argument I was making. But if at the end of the movie a meteor hit and killed everybody but Murray, sure, he'd still be a better person, but maaaaybe you'd be a little bummed that he saved that dude from choking only to be killed by a meteor a few hours later.
But Life is Strange features a lot of social interaction, and any connection with others you made during the game is gone. Connections go both ways, so "well max remembers" doesn't make a connection when the other person doesn't. So it's not a matter of things not mattering to Max, it's about the events not really mattering in the world as a whole. It might as well have been a dream (for the sacrifice Chloe) or moot because they all died anyway.
Max isn't the only person that matters.

This is venturing into philosophy a bit but as a time traveler her perspective is privileged. As a protagonist, her perspective is privileged. Other character exist only to advance her own personal story. This is especially true of first-person narratives.
More broadly speaking, a connection doesn't have to continue existing to be significant. Are your experiences with your friends and loved ones no longer significant if they move to another country? If they pass away? No, of course not. What matter is that there is a memory somewhere of those experiences happening. You are defined by the life you remember, not by the events themselves.
There is no privileged frame of reference in this world, no universal record that lists all the things that have occured, or will ever occur. There are only observers. That's my stance, and how I approach evaluating stories like these which interfere with causality.
Anyway it's not explicit but I can't imagine Arcadia Bay being exactly the same. Max will be a different person. She'll know things she shouldn't know about everyone. She will affect them in ways they wouldn't have been affected by otherwise if the events of the game didn't occur.
That DONTNOD didn't create a 30 minute epilogue movie showing the post-Chloe Arcadia Bay is a problem with budget and time constraints, not the story itself.

I guess we'll have to disagree here. And this is what I meant about this viewpoint being ultimately selfish. You are saying here, the other people don't matter. So there you go.
I also don't see how you can even see any significance in the connections if you see the other people simply as extensions of Max.
Again, you seem to only be thinking of yourself. The connection doesn't continue for the other person if they are dead, or don't remember because you reversed time.
I accept there are other observers than myself. And in the game, there are other people than Max.
I never said it would be the same (I'm assuming you mean the Sacrifice Chloe version), and it would be similar if it was all a dream. And remember, Max returned to the day of Chloe's funeral after the photo travel ended. The max during the week leading up to the funeral, wouldn't have had the memories... And "our" Max wouldn't even know all the details of the recreated past week. During that week the people would have known a "different" Max and our Max wouldn't have that knowledge... So there'd be a bigger disconnect between the two, and few of your memories would be all that applicable in real life.

An almost title drop is way funnier in the way it played with your expectations I felt. It even delays the subtitle for full effect.

My sister is playing through it now, she got through the end of episode 3 and loves it. She said when the alternate timeline with paralyzed Chloe thing happened: "See, THIS is why you never fuck with time to save people. First rule of time travel."
I already know she's gonna pick the sacrifice Chloe ending. The fact that she's not big on Chloe as a character and is going for the Warren ending (in her words, because Brooke wants him and fuck Brooke) locks it in. XD

I liked Brooke, I just wish she didn't have the animosity towards Max when I was working double time to throw Brooke and Warren together.

Yep. Brooke was thirstier than anybody in that game, and made a point to be an asshole about it at almost every opportunity. If she didn't do that she would have been kinda cool.

No, at that point David finds the darkroom on his own. If you read Max's diary she even explains it there.
I liked it, until I had to tell her how much money she had in her pockets. As an Australian, none of that change meant anything to me.

I actually enjoyed it too, but I've seen lots of complaints about that. I thought the lighter tone was a nice contrast to all the dark and disturbing things later to come. Also it had some light and fun puzzle element to it.
