I've always dug light gun shooters.
Time Crisis. House of the Dead. Jurassic Park (arcade). Terminator 2 (arcade) way back in the day ... I even loved Die Hard Trilogy on the PSX, specifically the Die Hard 2 scenario which was a shooting area.
I hope with Revolution we see a revival of this genre. IMO it's one of the few genres, where you can come back from work/class, kick back on the couch, open up a beer or soda, and just play.
I'm hoping to see more FPS/light gun styled hybrids actually ... light gun styled aiming/fast paced action mixed with some FPS exploration/free roaming capability. Games like that would really kick ass.
