Limited Run Games - Putting digital games into your hands

So once I get to check out, I'm safe and don't have to rush entering payment info?

Nice that they have replacement cases! I have a couple games with beat up cases from Gamestop (ugh)
you aren't in the clear until the order is complete, but if you're attentive you can complete the process in sixty seconds. especially if you have PayPal. Just make sure you checkout at 6:00 on the dime, you'll be okay.

oh also, if you're buying both games, open the first in a new tab then click the second from the root tab. add one to your cart, close that tab, then add the second. should save a few seconds.

Since I don't know quite where else to ask this (I tried the Vita thread, but no-one knew) and this is kinda the default thread for collecting limited games, I thought I'd give this a try.

I heard about the Bloodstained physical run today but assumed I had missed out since the Kickstarter finished and I wanted a physical version. However, someone linked this page on fangamer that seemed to allow you to pay $60 for a physical copy.

Will this still work? I don't quite understand how it happens. I also thought Deep Silver were publishing it, not fangamer or anyone else.

I decided I'm just getting SC. I put my CC info in a temporary text file to copy paste really quick. Don't want to use paypal.

I know I shouldn't feel this way but I'm kinda hoping Rez doesn't do that well for iam8bit so that future IP holders go with LRG instead. LRG has sold out everything within a few days at the most for every title so far!

Seems to be legit. I'd give it a shot if you're interested.

Eh, I'd like it if more companies were doing this just to see if one can test out a different way of selling these physical games then a strict limit that sells out right away. Missed some things that I would have liked just from not being awake at the right time now, and I'm not paying scalpers for it.

Yeah, the more competition the better. With that being said - I think iam8bit has quite a ways to go to get on LRG and Fangamer's level.

Soooo happy! Got my soundtrack!! :) Geeze it's so nerve-inducing though. I sure hope with more popularity etc, that the print runs will start to raise even higher (especially for Vita...)

My first Limited Run purchase! I've always thought this was pretty cool, but this is the first game that's gotten me interested enough to try and get one.

Mmmh, almost ordered Rainbow Moon in addition to having already ordered Shadow Complex earlier (well, brother ordered it for me), but then kind of thought that I already have a digital copy of the game that has gone unplayed for 3 years (after already starting to game, so it didn't grip me from the start). Perhaps not the game to splurge what little extra money I have on.

Phew, got my Rainbow Moon OST. Those 100 copies went fast!

Oh wow, only 100 left? At least they went on on time, this time :x

So I read a few conflicting statements on here... some were saying that you're safe if you add an item to cart, as long as you check in at some given time, but others were saying that nothing is good until you hit the checkout button?

You are **NOT** safe if you add to the cart. You need to check out.

That's what I thought. I wonder if I have an advantage being on PST time, where servers aren't exactly as tied up as they would be normally? That + wired Internet connection and such.

Eh, I went ahead and got a copy of Rainbow Moon (PS4) too since it was still available. Figured now or never.

Is it just the base game or does it include any of the DLC?

tempting, lol. but I'm gonna pass, between SC and Rez I've spent enough money on video games today.

It's the base game, but then the DLC is just things that boost your characters. Extra coins, items, Rainbow Pearls, etc.

There was never any content DLC done.

But the game has all the patches that have been put out.

I got my copies of B&C: Deadline and Soldiner today :) I tired to like Deadline, and I appreciate it for what it is, but it's not for me. I might pass both of those on in the months to come if I don't have an incling to play them again.

Soldiner is fucking awesome though and I'm sooo happy to have managed to get Shadow Complex and Rainbow Moon as well, definitely intend to put a lot of hours into both of those.

I remember messaging the Kickstarter page about how the physical version was going to handled and I got something like "you'll be able to purchase a physical version of the game at release but it won't have anything that's backer-exclusive" back. I wouldn't worry about missing out on it.

EDIT: Found the email.

That's what I remember too.

Not sure if they were talking about this game on stream but some game(s?) will go on sale either Sept 2nd or Sept 9th, depending on manufacturing.

Thanks! I find it hard to believe the Vita will be getting just a normal physical run, so I might back this fangamer thing and see where it goes.

I think they mentioned Dragon Fantasy to go on sale Sep 2nd or 9th.

That's correct, remember reading that on Twitter.

It's a mystery, the one way to find out is waiting until Monday!

Hng, that can only be one thing. Well, that's more money I have to put aside for the September (wallet) slaughter then!
