At what point do a properly query this... Given how LRG suggested they were doing batches, with international orders the last to leave, I was well prepared that Australia was in the last batch, no dramas, etc...

My mate who also ordered (another Aussie) has seen his tracking updated to actually at least be formally received by USPS on the 10th, mine hasn't reached that point yet and we are now heading into the 13th, obviously it simply could be that my package hasn't been scanned, but is there anyone still with the Pre-Shipment tracking?

... and as usual, make a comment about it and next thing you know it updates... Mine went from Cary to Miami with nothing in between... as before, I don't care about the length of delivery, it was more getting over that first hurdle of the USPS actually acknowledging they received it in the first place.

My Oddworld order to the UK is now in Florida. Is that the usual route it should go? :/

That's where mine went, Cary is kinda in the middle between something like New York and Miami, I imagine that Miami is also a very large shipping channel, so it would make sense that the USPS would have a large distribution centre down there for international (shipping or air freight).

My copy of Futuridiam still hasn't shipped either, hopefully it'll ship out early next week. But on the bright side my copy of Oddworld arrived yesterday so I can just play that while I wait!

I cannot believe that 10+ people email everyday whining about loose discs.

How can people be super into physical copies and not realize that there's nothing that can be done?

Regardless, it's a Blu-Ray, people. Stop worrying about this.

I guess it's the price of catering to collectors, though!

Also, LRG is pitching to possibly be on Shark Tank :)

I wouldn't be so down on collectors, I wonder how valid their business would be without them.

Thus:

not down on collectors at all, but complaining about something they have no control over is silly.

I agree that they have a small voice, but I doubt they're the only retailer fielding complaints. Retailers should in turn share those concerns with manufacturers. Otherwise, no one knows there is a problem and nothing changes. Wouldn't be the first time a case design changes.

Anyway, I don't disagree with you, I doubt anything comes of it, people just like to express disappointment with each other. We're all guilty of it at some point.

of course the disc was loose when I got my oddworld game today. I already read the FB post by limited run today and yes it is highly annoying.
There really seems to be a difference between PS4 game cases used in europe and the us.

The plastic is so thin, that minimal pressure releases the disc.

I've ordered games from all over the world since 2002? I think. I never had a loose Disc/UMD/cartridge, as a collector of course this is annoying. Especially if you go to your mail box and take out your order and the first thing you hear is rattling >>

I saw on one of their facebook posts a person saying "how about we get some games that weren't on PS+"... like, the point of these releases isn't being the best bargain and if you're a person that doesn't want to have physical copies of games they've already played, what are you even doing collecting games?

Well, are there any reasons for the loose discs? Has it something to do with the cover being used or is it simply because its being shipped a long distance, making it more likely to knock the disc out of its place? I've ordered many games online, and its rarely that the disc have been loose. Most of the orders i've done are within my own country or from the UK though, so its a lot shorter shipping distance compared to from the US. I also havnt bought that many PS4 games, but most of my experience comes from PS3 games.

I got a lot of shipped game, and i never got a single loose disk, but here it happen twice in a row. I think the manual can help to prevent the disk to came out of the socket... I suppose, other then that i don't see any othe reason..

My PS4 copy of Oddworld arrived with a lose disc, too. I've also been collecting games for decades and this is the first time this happend to me (for a new game).
Since it's happening to many people, the assumption that it's caused by low quality boxes (plastic too thin) makes sense.

I know looses disc suck. But Blu-ray Discs are built like a tank. They rarely scratch. So you'll be all god once you insert the disc into your PS4.

But if you're one of those "keep it sealed" types... yeah, sorry dudes.

That's crazy it's been that rare for you. Lucky.
I'd say 1 in 10-15 are loose for me going back to PS3 days.

Luckily the BDs don't really scratch like loose 360 or Wii cased games. Those are usually unplayable after they've traveled in the mail.

About 5 of the 30 PS4 games I own arrived with loose discs. I never saw that prior to this generation, but then again hardcore amazon ordering barely started for me at the end of the last gen. Considering how many times I moved and tossed around boxes/bags of my game collections over the decades, I would have probably encountered loose discs at some point if it could happen. It's definitely a PS4 thing, imo. Don't own an X1 to know.

It's pretty common when buying used disc-based games online that the seller puts a little bit of bubble wrap inside the case to fill it up and prevent the disc from coming loose. The Sega Saturn had the most elegant solution though with large blocks of styrofoam keeping the discs in place. :p Man, I love the Saturn/Sega-CD longboxes.

LRG sadly can't do anything and it's in Sony's hands. Not that I care that much personally and I've never had a Blu-ray get scratched.

Any news on severed or Atelier being on LRG? Really looking forward to those. SOrry if that's been stated already.
I've gotten the impression that some talks have been had between the related parties in regards to both Atelier as well as Drinkbox games like Severed (and others like Guacamelee) having LRG releases. Nothing guaranteed or "officially" announced yet.

Got Futuridium today.

Allpack Fulfillment did a good job it seems. Package was marked "Combo" and had both games, postcard, and sticker.
And no, the PS4 disc is not loose inside.

My Oddworld games arrived sans box (that I paid for), and Futuridium is unfulfilled. :-(

Oddword seems undamaged though, so no biggie.

Edit: Also refunded stupidly fast.

Got mine today too, gotta agree with everyone else, this was faster than any previous order. On top of that, it's my first one that didn't have a rattling disk. All around pleased with it.
