I really wish LRG would pick up SOMA. I keep holding off on buying it digitally in the hope of a physical release but I have a friend at Sony who says that it's not on the cards.

Meh. I played Futuridium when it was free on PS+ and found it pretty dull. Guess that's another one I'll be skipping then.

Will need to remember my login details for when Oddworld releases though!

Oddworld should be the next release (I believe its due out end of this month/start of next month) so you might want to dig out your login details ;)

I've played Futuridium as well and it didn't blow me away. I'll give the game another shot when I grab the physical version though to see if my opinion changes on it.

Going to have to keep an eye on this thread. Count me in as another one who'd love Phantom Breaker.

Any chance of the OP being updated? Would be nice to get a list of all the games that have been released through this service, even if they're now (obviously) OOS.

At the very least, the website is now live and functional, so the OP needs to be edited to reflect that anyway.

I'll do that this evening. Good idea.

I just hope that they can afford doing this, I read in an interview that they we're not trying to be rich but to let fans and themselves having retail releases that otherwise wouldn't exist, however I want them to also earn money since they deserve it and I want them doing this forever.

Maaaan, SOMA is so so good. I would buy it again physically if it were released. One of my favorite gaming experiences of the last five years.

i wish we could just sub or something ala loot crate and know we get the games for i don't have to keep an eye out. if i could pay $100 now for the next 4 releases and not have to worry i would do so.

waiting for a specific date and f5ing feels so 2002, but i guess it's the most fair for everyone

I loved outlast(and the dlc) and haven't played soma because I don't want to waste so much on a digital game so... please release them physically limited run!
It would be also nice because it gives more variety of genres to the games previously released/going to be.

Outlast was definitely not bad, but SOMA is a whole different level. It is easily one of the best told narratives I've ever experienced in a game and the stealth/horror stuff is way more intense than Outlast (and not really based on jump scares).

OMG I've read many positive things about that game but not that good.Anyway I want both games in a beautiful box

Just to confirm, Oddworld will be the next release, followed by Futuridium. We're aiming to have both launch in April but no release dates are set in stone. We've got two other games approved in QA as well, so expect a steady stream of releases from here on out. :)

Tell uuuussssss! We must know what the other two games are. At least a hint. C'mon. It's Salt And Sanctuary, right? Right.

Also, in case there's questions regarding it, the idea of having different boxarts for Vita/PS4 releases is fantastic. Please keep doing it :)

By the way, how exciting is it to finally have an "external" game being released soon as #4? I'm still surprised at how quickly you guys figured out the licensing and production of Oddworld. That was VERY fast.

Do you know yet if Oddworld will have a manual or insert of any kind? It would be fun to have a "Speech Dictionary" like the original PS1 Oddworld release came with, even if it's just a one-pager :)

Thank god I have a break in March, but I gotta prepare for two on the same month. You gotta be careful not to release them back-to-back, since I know a lot of people (myself included) would be upset for paying for shipping twice on something that could be shipped together.

I'm sure that we're going to get Salt and sanctuary.
I would also like both your suggestion and Shizuka's a manual will be nice and shipping together I'd also love that since I'm going prob for vita oddworld and futuridium ps4

Unfortunately for at least a little while we'll have to stagger releases to be able to afford the manufacturing costs. We can't afford the upfront manufacturing costs for two games at once. :(

That will hopefully change soon, though, as more releases will afford us more with more working capital.

Futuridium and Oddworld will not have manuals but we've got a Vita exclusive release slated within the next few months that will have premium packaging (foil on the cover) and a really nice manual!

Awesome to know. As much as I'd love to grab the next two, I will likely skip these and wait for the next announce. Funds being finite 'n all!

Oh wow, nice.

Hmm, Vita only for that one, huh?

Hhhmmmmmm.

I'd like to believe it's TxK, although I know it's tied up on licensing nonsense :(

Just do one a month until you can afford it.

Also, Cosmic Star Heroine, right?!!

This is what I'm hoping for as well. It seems to lineup with all the teasing from both sides too.

That isn't exactly a "Vita exclusive" though. It's pretty safe to cross any indies off that list when talking about exclusives. I mean even when it comes to Vita games, there's only so many left that have been announced as only coming to Vita and don't have a company that would release a physical copy already.

You could probably count on one hand the amount of titles that applies to, they would also not be from Square/Namco or any other larger company (probably safe to assume they haven't worked out something with Koei that fast either for any Atelier games).

Vita exclusive, it's clearly Ray Gigant.

None, but one awesome Vita exclusive is in the works (contract is not signed, but it seems very certain).

@LimitedRunGames ray gigant

@Darkdreameater I wish. Lots of complications on that one right now. Maybe when we're bigger!

Don't think this is Ray Gigant.

It depends how they're defining exclusive, I suppose. For consoles and handhelds VH is a vita "exclusive." Regarding the systems LRG caters to, having it only on one of the 2 systems could be interpreted as it being exclusively for the one system. You're technically right that it's also on PC, but we'll see.

Lemme dream, I'm aiming the highest I can!

My personal prediction is that NISA will handle the Ray Gigant physical print. They've been getting in the business of doing limited prints for some people (mostly niche Japanese games), and they do know the people from Acttil, as they're all former NISA people.

Personal I do not care what gets released as long as they keep doing this amazing job. I love getting psychical copies over digital. But the more shmups they do the happier ill be.

Not sure the fact that Acttil is made up from ex-NISA people count as a pro and not a con, as they're direct competitors now, specially that Ray Gigant will be the first non-NISA EXP game in history.

Yeah, I know IFI and NISA are on good terms, although I'm not sure about Acttil. KT is also a competitor, and they don't seem to have any problems with their arrangement. BN might also be something that complicates matters, as they get more of a say for what happens with this game than Exp does.

I've updated the OP a bit, but I'm no good at these kind of things.
The Vita pic of SMRPG isn't transparent, but that's how it was on the main site. ;)

If BN has any meaningful amount of sway with the game, we will never see a physical print of it then, or we will get a middle finger and only see an Asian release.

I tried making an account on the website but I am unable to. :/

The page goes to cannot be displayed when I push the submit button on registration form.

Just wishful thinking. And yeah, sadly vita release will happen later.

Yeah, thought as much. Still as and when it gets a Vita release, assuming S&S is getting a physical release then a physical Vita release in the future may not be out of the question.

Hopefully we get a physical announcement soon though (for the PS4 version) as I don't think I'll be able to hold of buying the digital version for long!
