Limited Run Games - Putting digital games into your hands

Yes, lightning deals, but that's what is most comparable to LRG runs, right?

Sure, but normal amazon doesn't do that. I was just pointing that out.

And as before, one click ordering doesn't help when everyone can do it. Same situation as before. At some point stock is gone and you either got it or you didn't.

Not everyone would have it though. Seems like it would still require an account, which at least a few people wouldn't bother with or maybe know about.

Then everyone who uses it has an unfair advantage over people that don't know.
Which is kind of like the cart trick of which people said it was the worst thing in the world

I get it, you want a copy and don't really care if anyone else does. But the fairest system is still if everyone has to use the same checkout process. Someone will always lose out if demand is >> supply

That's what happened to me and LRG responded that it was claimed that fast.

Very odd. As I simply casually entered 2xSoldner and 1xB&C into my cart that morning and had no issues. Which is what I always do, I've yet to rush a purchase.

I was even checking "stock" on them and the B&C bundle before checking out.

Right. I'm with you, I don't actually want the one click system. I'd rather not take the time to register and such, I've had too much luck so far just going through normally with Paypal.

I still say to wait until people get their copies and more go on sale to dilute the price a bit
I think any Vita exclusive titles will likely see higher prices than those that have equivalent PS4 versions.
Better got Volume.
Pretty certain LRG has confirmed a PS4 version of "Volume" will be dropping at a later date in an effort to feature the PSVR update.

any guesses?

any guesses?

A few guesses (games without physical release yet) :

PS4
Sequels
- Escape Goat 2 (+ there's fire involved)
- Fat Princess Adventure
- Geometry Wars 3
- King's Quest
- N++
- Shantae Risky's Revenge
- Shantae and the Pirate Curse
- Stealth Inc 2 (but that would be weird to release it without releasing the first one and it doesn't fit the "back in the day")
- The Banner Saga 2 (but that would be weird to release it without releasing the first one and it doesn't fit the "back in the day")
- Trine 2/3 (only been physically released on PC so far)
- Velocity 2X (doesn't fit the "back in the day")
- Or maybe Half-Life 3 ! :3
Not real sequels but hey
- Don't Starve Shipwrecked
- Grim Fandango remastered
- Jamestown Plus
- Pier Solar HD
- Spelunky
- Strider
- The binding of Isaac Rebirth

For the Vita I don't have many ideas... Oddworld Stranger's Wrath HD maybe, and in the "not really a sequel" category there could be Duke Nukem Megaton Edition, Another World, La-Mulana EX.

I could see people losing their mind, yes. I wouldn't "lose it", but I'd definitely buy a physical N++ to go with my physical N+ on PSP ;)

he's not saying it big though. ;) While I wouldn't lose my mind over N++, some people might!

He's not saying it's big but that many people will lose their mind, I know the game (haven't played it) and thought that it might be too much for that game.I will buy it anyway but probably is other game... damn teasers(I love and hate them at the same time).
Is prey of the gods going to have a physical edition?

We will try to active them at the same time. Have some on each of our computers and hit live.

Have you guys ever considered doing a collector configuration on orders? So like put up a listing that had soldner x2 and the ps4 game in one listing so people who want both can get them for the same price but only one click in? I'd assume it would still just draw from the single listings unit wise, but don't know how possible that is.

Played an hour of Rainbow Moon on Vita

This is actually pretty good! I can already sense the grind, but it's okay. The artstyle isn't great imo, but it still looks really pretty on the Vita overall. Seems like the perfect Vita game to play for 30 minutes every now and then. It's a lot more polished than I expected.

Also played Knytt Underground but couldn't get into it. :( It's not for me

I'm pretty sure these games aren't on PS4 and Pirate Curse is getting a physical release next month.

They are, but neither are getting physical PS4 releases. Pirate's Curse only appears to be getting a 3DS release from Rising Star Games and I'm assuming that's only happening because there was a Japanese release already. 1/2 Genie Hero is getting physical releases on all platforms, though. I'm a bit of a big Shantae fan, so I wish there was a physical release of Risky's Revenge!

Barklay Shut up and Jam Gaiden 2

I wish! The Hoopz Barkley SaGa deserves to make it to disc. The guy who is making it has a business card that is impossible to tear BTW. If you ever meet him and get a card, I dare you to try and rip it in half!

Oh! I had no idea they ported those games to other platforms besides Nintendo ones. I've never played a Shantae game but I do have Pirate's Curse from a humble bundle. I should get around to trying that out...

My first thoughts were Wild Guns and Assault Suit Leynos... sounds like both are certainly covered already though. Don't quite fit the bill as sequels anyway I guess.

It's good to have a Shantae fan in LRG, there's a higher probability it will get covered some day !
I had forgotten about Pirate's Curse being physically released. Now there's only Risky's Revenge to worry about :D
(although I wouldn't say no to an HD Pirate's Curse, of course)

I still can't make up my mind about Rainbow Moon. I watched a trailer that was awful, then some gameplay that looked alright. I still have time to delve into this I guess ^^

Is someone doing a non-Japanese release of Leynos? Can't find any info on it and would love to get my hands on it if so.

I know this is a long shot but the game Josh was teasing couldn't be TxK? I know Atari blocked it being released on other platforms but they still have the ability to release it physically on Vita maybe?

It's a sequel (of sorts); it fits the 'back in the day' part and it's me being insanely optimistic, lol.

edit: And the Jeff Minter is pretty known and respected. Plus, the final tweet which I'm going to use to anchor my argument:

Needed a physical release due to the fact it'll be lost to time once Atari get their grubby mitts on it.

Oh, good question, I don't actually know. I found a thread here that said Rising Star games was doing a physical copy of the game, but I didn't think as much about region as I probably should have.

Wow. The Limited Edition wars have begun.
At first glance I want to say that's great for us consumers that more companies are getting into it.

I just hope that the competition doesn't end up tearing down either of them. :( Enough competition in a niche enough market could lead to a situation where nobody eats.
