Limited Run Games - Putting digital games into your hands

I'm starting to get worried. My games were sent to the US export warehouse 2 weeks ago and I haven't got an update since. On the order before this one they were scanned there 1 week after they were sent.

They weren't at the export center yet. They send a big truck to pick up all the international orders and we didn't have them all ready to go until today. Unfortunately, they all have to go out in bulk. Everything that shows fulfilled is *actually* on the way now.

We hope to be done with all other remaining orders by Thursday before Douglas heads out to PRGE.

@LimitedRunGames

As someone who uses Henkaku on Vita (Retroarch is amazing) I have to ask:
Will any future LRG Vita releases require 3.61 Firmware?

We won't have any control over it, unfortunately. That's all on Sony when they update SDKs. Ultimately, it may come down to how old a game is before our release. New games like CSH, YIIK, and the Sekai VNs will probably require firmware updates since they'll need to be built with the newest SDK.

Thanks for the update.

Edit: Beaten. That's what I get for not keeping up with the thread.

Play-Asia just sent out an email saying that they'll be the exclusive seller of the ASIA physical vita release of Soldner X2. All orders placed by 10/25 are guaranteed.

Looks like you get another chance if you missed out on LRG's North America release.

Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD
Oddworld: Munch Odyssey HD

I'm convinced Steamworld will be one of the releases, just because of the timing. And like Pellegri says, maybe they consider that two separate games? Dunno.

That puts my Oddworld dreams in jeopardy. But they already polled about another LRG release earlier this year iirc, so we may have:

- Volume (PS4 + Vita)
- Unannounced game (PS4 + Vita)
- Steamworld (Vita - PS4 release is done by Rising Star Games)
- Oddworld (Vita - because no PS4 version exists)

A man can dream!

We're not releasing Volume on PS4. We've been pretty clear from the start that it is just Vita. :)

Volume is definitely coming in November. It was supposed to come out with Shantae in October but the foil cover has been a bit of a pain and took much longer than expected.

I received a missing game from the last sale. Contacted support on Friday but haven't heard back yet, should I resend?

We've been knee deep in making sure this last run gets shipped out asap. We will reply to you by tomorrow! So sorry for the delay.

Everything has sped up and is looking good now!

we need more horror physical games.

I'd be 100% hype for Lone Survivor, Neverending Nightmare and/or Claire

Legit great horror games imo. Really enjoy them.

You need Yomawari when it comes out next week, it's really, really good. Also, couldn't Silent Hill Book of Memories be considered a horror title?

Yeah, I'm definitely getting that. Wanted it ever since the first screens I saw in the Vita threads. Glad to hear it's actually a good game, though.

Book of Memories is definitely horror imo. It's not a scary game but horror is just as much thematic as it is emotional response. Same as Evil Dead films/TV or Hellboy comics... neither of which are frightening, but are 100% built on horror.

Darkest Dungeon, Limbo, Organ Trail... also horror if you ask me. There are other genre conversations there ofc but horror is a genre defined by content rather than a set of mechanics. It's probably why it attracts so many different types of gamers who all expect something different.

Got my OWH. Nice pink envelope, lol.

I like the pink envelope too, dunno why. I kept it to put stickers and post cards in since one envelope is full now (the one that the original Breach & Clear came in).

I also picture it bothering a very small group of people who were already bothered by black bubble mailers looking like possible porn.

Ahh, mystery solved. I always wondered why you were releasing just the Vita version. Is the bolded possibly why?
Strange. I could've sworn LRG confirmed a PS4 version was coming further down the road to speculatively incorporate the VR expansion into a disc release. In fact, I believe it was a response to one of my earlier inquires in this thread, but it would appear LRG edited out the portion pertaining to Volume over a week later. I wouldn't be surprised if they're mincing words to an effort to maximum early adopters for the Vita version, like "We're not releasing Volume for PS4. We're releasing Volume: Coda!" as a marketing ploy to emphasis the peripheral content. It would be admittedly unfortunate if a console version isn't in the works anymore as I'd have to settle for a "weaker" presentation of the experience on Vita without the extra DLC and lower resolution. I honestly don't see why there won't be a release with their ties to Mike Bithell.

Or Volume on PS4 is getting a more mainstream retail release.

Somewhere along the line I think I just started speculating that it was taking this long to coincide with Coda and a PS4 disc from LRG and just went with it like head canon.

I do remember Mike Bithell telling Kinda Funny crew casually that the Vita release would be a "see how it goes" situation for a possible PS4 release, which wouldn't happen until Coda was finished. So that would add up.

It's probably just been this long for the sake of a more final version and to just create some marketing resonance between all the Volume stuff at the same time. Good idea tbh.

That cover art! 😍

Also - last day to buy The Silver Case. If you're on the fence, just buy it. Trust me, you'll regret not doing so when you see the final product. Not many of these will end up on eBay judging by sales numbers so don't delay!

I find it weird to emphasize the fact it's gonna be super rare and that we're going to regret not buying it for financial reasons :X

This one is without me, but I wish it sells well !

I'm very interested, but unfortunately I'm waiting for my replacement credit card in the mail. So I'll unfortunately have to pass.

:(

Thanks for this. I could've sworn I read about Volume PS4 somewhere, but when I googled it nothing showed up. Guess I remembered that post too, so thanks for sharing.

I guess the Vita LRG / PS4 general retail release theory is possible then.

Is Coda a sort of GOTY for Volume ?
If so, it would be dishonest to announce the Volume Vita without mentioning the superior version coming soon after.

Or am I misunderstanding something ?

Looks like Wild Guns Reloaded has an official cover now.

I never understood the appeal of cartoon boobs, just leaves a bad taste to me, but otherwise the cover looks great.

I don't expect it to be that rare when the run is not limited per se, please correct me if I'm wrong. I can't collect games for yet another platform unfortunately, but I'm all in for a PS4 release :).

That's the paradox, having open pre-orders can actually lead to smaller runs than setting a fixed number.

It's still limited as there will be no reprints I assume.

Haha, yeah scalpers might be thinking the same thing and skip on it, and it'll end up extremely rare. Dunno how common that is though.
