Limited Run Games - Putting digital games into your hands

Looking to buy Skull Girls and Volume together, I can wait since the shipping is so expensive, got Root Letter and Steins Gate Zero to go through this month my VN room is gonna be packed

It's always the way, tracking finally updated on the 1st Nov for export readiness, so it would seem I was more than likely in that final batch, so that will be early next week for me...

No dramas leading into the Volume release this week and Skullgirls on top.

Volume has slipped to 11 November.

Unfortunately, due to a final last minute delay on the gold foil cover we have to push our release of @VolumeGame to November 11th.

They've just tweeted about it too. Good thing one can still combine it with Skullgirls.

The games are already en route to us from Sony so this date can be considered 100% final.

Haha. This is gonna sound really entitled, but I wish they could've just taken the orders on the 4th and then started shipping the copies out afterwards when they're done.

I had to move a lot of things around at work to make sure I was free for 2pm this Friday so I could place the order. Now I'm gonna have to move things around for next Friday and I'm not sure I'm gonna be free on time :(

What are the odds that Volume eventually gets a PS4 release from Limited Run a few months later, similar to what happened with Breach & Clear?

I want to own that game but don't want to wind up buying it twice when my preferred platform is (maybe) getting its own release somewhere down the road.

Any hopes that they will make a Darkest Dungeon Vita physical release?

They have some big content updates probably still going on PC, then coming to PS4 and hopefully Vita by then. Marriage I think?

I desperately want it on physical cart because of awesome, but I don't know what their plans are with mostly-finalized builds ala Lab Zero with Skullgirls. If finalization of Darkest Dungeon on Vita seems so far out that it gets near to the end of Vita cart production, I'd rather them just do it soon, semi-vanilla.

Honestly this is the reason I haven't bought it on the Vita yet. For some reason I have an impostor memory of a physical edition being confirmed but I can't find anything on it so it was definitely planted by well wishes.

Just fyi thr Breach and Clear on PS4 wasn't the same game

LRG will not be releasing Volume for the PS4.

Reading between the lines, it seems like there is a good chance that another company will though.

Not to be the Devil's advocate, but you can probably easily get your money back from reselling Volume Vita if the PS4 version does surface if you keep it sealed.

The Volume delay suits me. I'll be out drinking that night and planned to drunkenly try to grab Volume at 1am not sure if I'd be home or out on the phone haha.

I love the addition of a countdown timer on the Volume page! And that I can still order it with Skullgirls. Great stuff!

Skullgirls preorders have passed the 5000 units.

2584 ps4
1117 vita
685 duo

Meaning 3269 PS4 Total and 1802 Vita Total

I'd say it smells pretty good regarding the 10k figure :)

With the Volume release and a final social media push 10k should be possible. Not guaranteed though

Not guaranteed indeed. But I have a feeling it will reach it.
From the people combining Volume and Skullgirls you can expect 2 to 3k of additional orders. Then you have almost 10 "normal" days before the end date, and "normal" preorders can add up.

Great news. Waiting for Volume myself since I'm too cheap to pay $15 shipping for one game.

Surprised the PS4 is so far ahead but I guess fighting games are better on home consoles and the Vita port is the lesser version, although seemingly "good enough". I will probably just go for the Vita version myself.

The Vita version plays perfectly and runs great, but the visuals took a noticeable hit and load times are bit on the long side.

I think it's more that fighting game fans want to have the ability to play local against each other plus being able to use fight sticks.

While Vita is usually a great choice, I have to say I'll always choose to play a fighting game on a home console over a handheld.

Having a physical release of SG that's fully pre-patched will be a boon to the tournament scene, which is why I could see the PS4 version doing better.

$15 for shipping a friggin' Vita game (most of which weigh next to nothing) across the ocean is a lot of money. Nothing to do with being cheap.

I agree, it seems like it would be much easier for that kind of thing.

I'm not a big fan of handheld fighting games anyway though. Much nicer to be able to play vs mode with one copy, and be able to plug in a stick.

By the way, I've decided finally NOT to preorder Owlboy PC from Indiebox, because of the flat $22 shipping cost. It ended up being to expensive.

I'm really counting on the developers to port the game on the PS4/Vita, then on LRG to distribute it physically. Seems like a long shot ? DON'T DISAPPOINT ME LRG :3

Finally put my pre-order in for Skullgirls on Vita today.

Right after I finished placing the order I got super paranoid that I ordered the wrong platform, but all was well.

Atelier Shallie done today too. That will clear back into my account after a week or two, though, and I had $14 in credits to use. So that leaves Stranger's Wrath and Volume for November. Plus a mystery Vita title.

I hoped against all logic that SNK would make a native PS4 and Vita Metal Slug Anthology with better emulation (ala the recent release of 3), trophies and 7 + XX included.

I'd have paid stupid money for a physical release.

Skullgirls is officially more than 50% of the way to its goal for Japanese VO!

Thanks to everyone in here that pre-order the game so far! Feeling pretty good about our chances!

I want Limited Run games to do physical versions of SNK games. Having a Mark of the Wolves and Last Blade 2 on physical would be awesome. Just like that dreamcast.

this. there is lots of potential with proper SNK releases.
