Limited Run Games - Putting digital games into your hands

Was taking no chances on this after missing Asterbreed. Was logged in ready to go. Had LE and LP open in 2 different windows. Added to cart as soon as timer hit 0, hit paypal button and checked out immediately.... Success, despite Limited Runs terrible cart system and insane low print runs.

It was sold out in less than 1 Minute and 30 Seconds. If this doesn't demonstrate a need to increase print run size, I don't know what will.

I love how they kept saying that since it was $60 then it wouldn't sell out as fast...lmao

How fast is your Internet speed? Even with slows, I still seem to get through (which I now know, was a server issue and not a PC slowing thing on my end), but my speeds are pretty quick to always get through.

Same here, went standard for this one, I´m avoiding large CE´s due to lack of space, so in the end standard edition was the way to go for me.

It's understandable they doubted it though.
Now they know for sure and they'll factor it in when estimating the sales of future games :)

Nova's struggling to sell out though.
27% remaining for the Vita bundle, isn't it the first time a bundle doesn't sell out immediately ?

This was also a test run for them, with having an LE with such a small print size and at a higher price. Surely it will help them rethink the Ys Origin numbers, at a much smaller pricing point.
 
So, I know the discount code for the cards has expired, but I wanna try just in case. Whre do I enter the code? I was able to eneter the code 2 weeks ago but couldn't find the cards, now I have the opposite problem, lol.

But it did matter! Took like 5 mins to sell out. Would've been 2 mins at $40 or so. ;-)

Amazing as it was for LRG to be able to sign a game of this magnitude, I'd prefer if future games like this get a "proper retail release". Right now, this is not really LRG material (yet) imo. But of course it could open doors for them (who knows?) and perhaps enable them to release bigger print runs for games that need them.

You don't do a test run with the biggest Shmup out at the moment.
 
First time I forgot to set an alarm, still managed to get Nova but Darius was sold out.

I’ll try get a copy of Darius from the second batch.

The more CEs I've bought, the more I realize I don't really need them. I like the ones with figures, and the large boxes look nice, but most of the stuff just ends up chilling on a shelf somewhere, adding no more satisfaction for me than the game itself does.

The system is actually better now in that it won't hold items in the basket, it means people aren't randomly being able to pick up something 10 minutes later despite others having "missed" it 9 minutes earlier. I've been burnt by the checkout thing previously so it definitely sucks but if you're seeing sold out messages now it's simply because there were more people who got there order in faster.

If I was told to wait in line, and then told it was gone before I entered payment info, that would have been better. But once I'm on the fucking payment screen, typing shit in as fast as I can, hold my damn order at least for a few goddamn seconds.

Plus, Skullgirls STILL isn't out. I too think I'm done with LRG.
 
Tried to convince myself that as I already had digital version on PS4 and Steam I didn't need it, then promptly caved in and bought the standard edition! Can't resist that STG goodness....
 
Poor Nova. I was only planning to snag the Dariusburst LE, but after reading a bunch of reviews of Nova I was intrigued enough: seems like a rather unique puzzle game with quirky science-y humor. edit: I ended up getting it as well, is what I trying to say.
 
I really hate that they put the fucking play decks online for 10 bucks. You know... the free playdecks which should have been with the game I bought ages ago.

I hate the way they gave me a time limited code for a playdeck and extra costs for shipping. Seems unfair..

Why not sending it for free with the next buy of the same customer?

I don't think they've even shipped Flinthook out as of yet. They might not have received them from Sony either. But I'm sure we'll see copies on eBay in a week or two.

I sort of wished I hadn't passed it up either. The second bat hung around for while. I'm also regretting not picking up Pang/Buster Bros.
 
I was distracted at work.. first time in history I was not there at 9am but 40 min later I was able to grab 2 out of 3... so my collection is not complete any longer, will try again in 2 hours but I have other things I have to do at that time so maybe.. just maybe this is the day I break the streak and stop spending money going forward.

I got shipping conformation for my Flinthook from LRG today, so it appears the stock has come in.
 
Wait, I'm confused. The second batch is coming in half an hour right? The site says 0% inventory and Sold Out.

/edit: nvm, they just updated it.
 
Nova-111 is the first Vita LRG game I've skipped so far (other than Breach & Clear which I missed). It looks interesting, but I dunno if it's $25 interesting. Plus, it released on a bad day—Mario Kart 8 Deluxe releases, new Gorillaz album, Kendrick Lamar tickets go on sale... I dunno.

I've also been feeling a little reluctant about buying more and more releases, mostly because of the cost. I can definitely afford to buy LRGs output, but it does cut into my gaming budget, and as great as having games like Ray Gigant physcially is, it feels kinda bad paying $40 for a game that's been on sale at $10 or less multiple times. I mean, I don't expect to pay that little for a physical copy, but would it really hurt your partners that bad to take a smaller amount of profit on these releases? I know they make the same amount as they would off of a full price digital copy, but if they sell the digital copy for practically nothing all the time...

I feel like part of it is also due to my waning interest in the Vita. I definitely still love it, but the Switch is quickly capturing my heart. I'm using my Vita less and less. I dunno. Maybe I'll pick this up when it goes live.

Yeah it says that until the second batch goes up. I was confused by the countdown a fee pages ago as it ended half an hour ago. But I checked on Facebook it's definitely in 30 minutes. I missed out on the first batch by 4 minutes due to driving and it was gone haha. Not surprising.

Probably what I'll end up doing as well. If it's physically available to import I may do that every time instead of using LRG, no offense but I'm always working when their games become available and it's quite a stressful to go through the LRG process when I'm already rushing at work.
 
Nice! Got the Darius LE and the Darius soundtrack. I was on another site to kill time, looked down and saw 5:00. Thought I was a goner!

EDIT: Looks like I got lucky as shit!
