If anything they should open up SE sales a bit before LE sales, because I highly doubt that people are going to have to worry about if they can get an SE or not.

Yea, I think they should sometimes stagger sales because if people are gonna be losing out during checkout, then it's not wise for people to go back and forth adding them up in the cart to combine orders. I usually just try to grab one and check out and then go back for the other ones I want. I end up paying more for shipping as a result.

Is that for digital or also for LRG?
Afaik the video didn't say :x

Edit: back in the day there were talks about an euro fullfillment center: any news about that? 15 euro shipping plus customs charges Just adds to the whole unpleasantness of the exciting "customer "experience.

I don't think we'll ever see this euro Center, but aren't most of European countries' custom charges prepaid ?
If yes you shouldn't take them into consideration.

Why are people so hyped about Night Trap? Is it all about the controversy or is it genuinely a good game? Or is it one of these things that's so bad that you simply need to have it?
It has this kitsch 80's vibe that makes it a bad but still funny game. Most of us will probably buy it to point at the bad acting and the stupid plot.
I can't wait ^^

Based on the initial KS demo, the game is fantastic.

I have to say I'm no fan of limited physical releases of games that aren't even out yet, same with Flinthook on LRG iirc. Is it gonna be good? Who knows, but if you don't pay double now, good luck getting one later.

Over time buying once physically will likely work out to be just as cost effective to buying all digitally and double-dipping on the ones you like.

But you can't double-dip when the game is already sold out near release. You can't make an informed purchasing decision and even have to double down on that if you want to get your hands on these physical releases. Provided they sell out as fast as I think they will of course.

You missed my point.

In the long run it would be cheaper for many people just buying the game once physically than buying it first digitally, then following up by buying the ones you like a second time physically. Even if the second scenario is hypothetical..

Maybe it's not true for you, as maybe you don't like as many games enough buy buy again?

Well, then you missed my point :p

I was only talking about games that have limited runs before they are even out, as with this game. It's basically a pre-order incentive, but it's also 40 bucks as opposed to just 20 for the digital version.
For other releases, even if you hadn't bought them when they first came out digitally, you can still look up reviews and player opinions to see whether you really want the physical release or not when it pops up. Can't do this here, have to go in blind or miss out completely (on the box that is).

I didn't realize you were talking about referring to reviews. I generally ignore them, especially for indie releases.

Thought you were wishing digital was out first so you could buy that, then pick up physical when you liked the game.

I don't suppose anyone has high res versions of all the LRG box arts? All the ones released by them are one an angle and also have their watermark.

I'm just after pics for my collecting software but I guess I can always take my own pictures but they'll stand out.

It's only 25 dollars. That makes for a low risk purchase.

Disagree completely.

Don't like it?

Sell it for more than you paid.

Limited just posted that they'll have a exclusive cover/partnership.

Jokes on them, I already preordered a copy, Special Reserve knows how handle a release.

@LimitedRunGames 5 min.
We're excited to announce that we'll be partnering up with @specialreserves to distribute variant covers of their upcoming PS4/Vita games!

All of our @specialreserves releases are distributed titles, not published titles. They are not part of the Limited Run Collection.

There will be no Limited Run branding on the packaging.

Also, for Shizuka:

STRAFE®‏ @STRAFEgame
STRAFE® IS NOT COMING TO VITA.

That's the second announcement today that I totally didn't see coming. I guess that Limited Run got their Devolver Digital deal after all.

Well this is exciting news for two reasons:

1) Confirms Special Reserves are working on Vita releases

2) Is the first distribution deal LRG are doing? iirc they said that it would be a distribution deal if they ever landed Atelier.

What a weird twist.

I guess it makes sense for Special Reserve Games because of economies of scale and the LRG name recognition. And LRG has a new partner instead of a possible competitor.

Not going to double-dip because of a variant cover, but it means that I can order STRAFE and other SRG games using PayPal, which is nice.

That's a strange partnership but I guess it makes sense to both parties (at the moment). SRG gets some extra attention and LRG makes a few extra bucks by selling a cover variant. I guess once SRG is big enough, they will probably drop it.

I would guess that Special Reserve's Vita titles are a while off as they only have the following listed on their Facebook page at present:

Shadow Warrior 2: Special Reserve Collector's Edition (PC & PS4)
STRAFE (PC & PS4)
Absolver (PC & PS4)
Broforce (PC & PS4)
* more announcing soon*

Didn't realize Shadow Warrior 2 was getting a release through them. Big fan of the first one and was disappointed when this wasn't getting a retail release, nice to see that's going to be remedied.

Now the question is: SRG cover or LRG cover?

Fair warning, they retconned the previous Shadow Warrior 2 PC physical edition into being the first Special Reserve (despite, y'know, being also available on the Devolver Digital shop. They really aren't making much of an effort of hiding the fact that they're the same company). So, I would assume that they're aren't going to bother reprinting the PC version (considering it's still available) and instead will just do a PS4 run of Shadow Warrior 2.

Not a worry, I'll be going for a PS4 copy. But good to know for those who would be interested in the PC version.
