I will keep the tab open today and refresh intermittently...

Also could just make everything random. Let us choose the prize we want and have a draw every month for redemption. Again, if you've won in the past 3 months you aren't in the draw. If they really do have hundreds of thousands of prizes every month, it would make a hell of a lot more people happy by cutting out those that recently won something and focusing on the userbase that haven't gotten anything.

There are many better ways to go about doing this. But they won't change it. And they don't have hundreds of thousands of prizes. This is a huge scam right now. It's trickery 101. But it's free so people will stick around (me included) and continue to take it up the ass from these rapists.

If they did the 3 month thing, no one would redeem any of the small-medium prizes.

I like lotteries, I support that idea. At least there's no e-stress to go around.
 
They said they're taking down Play from 2pm to midnight eastern time, in hopes the redemption will run a little smoother.

While our first two waves went smoothly, with thousands of members redeeming great prizes, our third wave was problematic for some due to site availability. Unfortunately, we battled some heavy cheating bots in Wave 3. Despite our efforts to shut these down, they affected the experience for some members who couldn't log in. We're working hard to ensure this will not happen in the future. Most importantly, we've refunded 100 PTZ to all members who participated in the Member Appreciation Redemption and did not receive a prize. We have already put these PTZ in your account in time to use for today's General Redemption. Thanks for your patience as we work to perfect the redemption process!

The worst part about this is that there are probably even less prizes in the general redemption in before, AND they gave points back to people so there can be more competition.
 
I know it's selfish and all but just let those that didn't get a prize during the wave go and block everyone else. All I want is one goddamn prize and I'll never return to lockerz.
 
The thing is, i want to spend my points now while the prices are relatively low.

I mean since they released PLAY, the value of the points goes down cause you can get more ptz faster.

By release I'm guessing a game will be 1000ptz instead of 100 now.

and now the site is slow as hell lol

To anyone who's successfully redeemed their PTZ before: About how long was the redemption actually open? How long do I have a chance to redeem before everything is gone?

Less than a minute for popular prizes. About two-three minutes for iPod Shuffles. More for games and other stuff that few people care about. Then you factor in the time it takes you to refresh and realize the redemption's up, and the time it takes you to find your item (assuming everything's out of order) and you get the idea...
 
you have about 20 seconds before all the top tier stuff is gone (a little longer for mid-tier stuff like PS3, 360, PSP). maybe 1 minute for everything else (Games but that also depends, Heavy Rain sold out the same time the macbook did).

I've redeemed 3 times in a row now. Just use a auto filler, have your e-mail addy copied so when you login you just have to enter your password and KNOW what you want to get and have your backup plan in order if what you want is not there.
 
I'm actually aiming for the Beatles Rockband value pack since I don't have a lot of points and that's really the only thing I want. I hope that doesn't go as fast as everything else.
 
what do you think will the fucking redemtion take place in the next 30-40 minutes? I actually wanted to play HR today and not waste my time with fucking lockers again …

Don't waste your time, it's not worth it really. Go enjoy HR, I'm going to go get a copy tomorrow :D
 
wtf?! The redemption started at 5:30EST right? cause I was there at 5:31 and tried to get a wii and then it told me there was no more after I clicked redeem. Then all of a sudden everything else was fresh out.
 
Sad. When I clicked on Beatles Rockband it was still in stock. then it took me to a page and said it was gone.

At least I've actually seen a redemption now.
 
I think this might be one of the worst redemptions ever, almost as bad as some of the earlier ones. I bet some of their prizes were set to Freshed Out before the redemption even started. :lol
