Logitech PSP case

Damn EB now is telling me that the case is due to come in tomorrow, not today. It shipped yesterday yet they won't have it for another day?

Um, that Pelican case is a POS. When you screw it in, it causes problems with the eject button. This has happened on two different PSP's. I took the first PSP back, because it cause the eject button to stop workin all together. :lol WTF? I tried it again, and sure enough the right screw interferes with the ejecting slider. Maybe it's poor design on Sony's part, since these screws were intended to be used, but seriously WTF? Anyone else had this problem?

I don't know about you's but I'm really digging this PDA style case. Probably won't do much protection wise, but I reckon it looks cool -- in a business-type kind of way.

This one will be great for the many fishing and camping trips I go on. Looks aight to boot.

Accessories and things are never shipped overnight. I'd be surprised for it to arrive 2-day.

Hmm I did notice the eject door didn't close all the way but attributed it to Sony first run hardware.

My Pelican case is kind of messed up as the left screw doesn't seem to want to thread. Since it was still hanging on I didn't return it to BB since it was only 10$.

And now I'm kind of thinking why Sony just didn't include something like this in the original design, just a bit sleeker and - well - better. Like you say they have the screw holes there already so they must've known it'd be an issue.

Well I managed to snag the last one of the Logitech PSP PlayGear cases from my local Gamestop (thanks Dave). The unit does add a bit of bulk to the package, but I'd trust it for packing and traveling with my beloved PSP. Be aware not to tilt the unit as the PSP is only held in by gravity - nothing secures it inside. All the port (except the UMD slot, battery, memory stick) are accessible. I've posted some pictures showing several shots of the case and PSP.

Do I like it and would I recommend it - yes. Great protection in simple styling.

I picked up the logitech Playgear this afternoon not sure if thats counted as a screen cover or not, first impressions are awesome build quality but I find it hard to use the top shoulder buttons during long sessions of wipeout pure. Still its awesome all round protection here are a few piccys.

Got mine at Fry's today. I like it and all, as stated it is a bit of stretch to use the shoulder buttons and having to remove it to change games invites fingerprints and suchlike on the screen.

I got used to snagging it between thumb and forefinger with the Pelican screen. Unfortunately, the thumbscrews are tweaked hence the Logitech.

Yea, Fry's has it for $19. I was suprised to see they had so many and so soon. Also suprising is that they have many JPN PSP games. I saw three or four different Mahjong games and Bubble Bobble Pop or whatever the hell it was. Forgot to check what price they were though.

Some people are customizing theirs..

hmm now that's interesting, i'm assuming you just pry out the inside padding and place beneath no? If that's the case i may pick one up just for the hell of it now heh. Of course my printer is out of color ink though so the ink will end up costing me more than the case :lol

thats funny, i was gonna say that it looks like a good printout with a high quality gloss paper, i might have to do that as well. does the cover just pop off, i havnt checked yet

Yeah just pull the foam on the inside its only hooked on at the very top by two little tabs, just be careful not to pull to hard as it will rip. Goes back together just as easy as it comes apart too :)

Blarg... EB at Scarborough Town only got shipped 2 units.... and some bastard bought them both.

I checked the Walmart there and nothing.

The hunt continues.

I just got my Logitech PlayGear Pocket today. It's very slick, and seems like it is very durable. The ability to fold the lid back and use it as a stand (for viewing movies on the PSP screen) is a nice feature, and the cutouts for the headphone and charging jacks are good, too.

I only wish there was an easy way to carry UMDs with a case like this. I suppose I'll get a tiny UMD carry case one of these days.

Some online retailers are showing another case from Logitech called PlayGear Street (here is an example). This one is a bit more expensive, and does carry extra UMDs and Memory Sticks. Oddly, Logitech's own Web site doesn't appear to mention this product at all.

Hmm that playgear street is only another 3 bucks. Wish there was another pic to show where the UMDs etc. would go. Guess it'll just be a wait and see, it would appear to be customizable as well so could be worth the wait if you can ditch the strap heh.

That guy's facial expression sums up feelings on this product perfectly.

I just use CD jewel cases. Cut out most of the middle inlay (leaving just the spine bit to stop the UMDs falling out), and you can get 2 UMDs in there easily. A friend of mine bought some epoch UMD cases and they scratched the fuck out of my mercury.

Altoids Sours can. Costs $1.50 and fits UMDs perfectly.

It's an easy-recognizable PSP fannypack that you wear across your chest. It basically screams, "Please mug me because I am a tool and won't do anything to stop you."

I checked for the Logitech cases at Gamestop a couple of days ago and the cashier there said that they were supposed to have had them but they hadn't been shipped. I ended up ordering one from ebgames, then I walked into Fry's today and saw a bunch of them sitting on the shelf, much to my chagrin. I didn't see them in any other store I walked into this evening though... Fry's was probably the last place I would have expected to see them.

I decided to make another skin I got fed up of my DUB one. Its cool to be able to customize the case whenever you want maybe logitech will bring out skins for it!

Those custom cases are definitley rad. If I ever get around to buying a PSP, I'll go this route.

They'll be cool till someone puts a pic of their wang in it . :0

Made a quick Untold Legends cover for the case. Turned out pretty nice, but it's a bit uneven in a corner or two. When I make my next one, I'll be sure to make a template first.

My manager bought our last case at work, and it was quite nice. Looking at it in package the thing looks huge, but once its on the system it is quite nice.

It is hard getting to the shoulders with it on, but I dont need those in Lumines:) I do like the extra heft and size it gives to the system, making it easier to hold for long periods of time.

The customization thing is really making me want one now though. I bought the Nyko screen armor and hate it, then got the pelican face plate and like it for the most part, but this is tempting. If i get it that would make it $40 worth of cases and covers bought since launch, lol.

lemme get this straight..

this logitech psp case, protects the WHOLE console? screen included?

Apparently it's not that good at protecting the screen as it fucking scratched my screen yesterday. -_-

Yes.

That sucks. I always give a quick glance in the case before I close it, to make sure there's not any dirt or crap in there that'll scratch the screen. And I make sure the screen itself is relatively clean, as well. Haven't had a problem, yet.

Damn it, I finally gave in and ordered this freaking case even though I'm sure I don't need it (I already have a Hori case I'm fine with). This thing better be awesome. It was the customization and ability to charge/have headphones plugged in with the cover closed that drove me over the edge.

That is what the screen covers are for:)

I know everyone is going to say how 100% retarded this is, but I cut the clear plastic that came with the case into sections and am contently using that as a screen protector...

+1 inginuity
-1 waiting for a decent screen protector to ship in the mail

Anyways, with that said:

I like being able to store several at a time, so I can switch em around.

Hmm been checking Best Buy's website for awhile now and still no listing (have a giftcard there). Anyone happen to see one there or work there and know if you're getting any in? If not i'll just run to old reliabe Fry's and pick one up :)

More modding details..

If anyone wants to get rid of the Logitech logo (since it's kind of unsightly when you have a photo in there), it apparently rubs off easy with nailpolish remover and a cloth.

Thanks for the tip. I doubt most people even notice it since I have a picture of Christina Millian kneeling on a bed as my cover. :D

Has anybody seen any place where I can import one to Europe? I've tried amazon, Lik-sang, play-asia and they don't have it.
