Funny that it keeps saying "Old Firefox" because new Firefox should be out in the next few weeks to blow IE8,9,10,11,and 12 out of the water.

Hopefully the new Firefox blows "Old Firefox" out of the water because I'm really considering switching to Chrome or Opera lately. Firefox 3 has become one of the worst resource hogs.

Been trying Firefox 3.5 RC1 today, with 20-25 tabs open and 16 add-ons, it uses a grand total of 182-187MB in resource usage and is also lightning fast compared to 3.0.

So yeah, much better than 3.0 which could easily double that.

Im using IE8 ..in fact i used Beta1,Beta2 and RC.

Probably using the IE6/7 compatibility mode to fake the scenario and score cool kid points with the internet.

Nope, i can attest on Windows 7 RC with IE8, i also get that message.

i dont understand how microsoft can't even write a vaguely competent browser.. and yet most of the planet uses their operating system.

i mean you'd think seeing how IE is consistently behind everything else would be something of a warning sign

HATE HATE HATE IE in all of its forms. The amount of time I have to spent coding CSS for that hack of a browser is endless.

LOLtastic-soft is a better name for this company.

The browser has been competent for quite a while, the best? Probably not, but it's certainly competent.

It's simple, it works, and it's not a fuck ugly colour. That's all I care about really.

Is 3.5 RC basically what they'll be releasing in a couple weeks? I don't much feel like waiting.

Take that!

Firefox = old
Safari = boring
Chrome = tarnished

Someone try Opera.
It just says "that browser" or "current browser" MS doesn't know Opera. Like the 98% of everyone.

I strongly support any effort to get more people to upgrade from IE6/7.

The IE8 hate is actually pretty silly, considering it is actually a pretty good browser when it comes to rendering and following standards. Any web developer here should be ecstatic with any promotion it gets - killing IE6/7's market share is extremely important.

I can't even get the page to load atm.

We are sorry, the page you requested cannot be found.

I even downloaded IE8 to test the message.

You're about as original as they are.

I dont think he is trying to be original, clever or market a product. I think the is expressing his disapproval over the fact that IE ignores standards set in the web.

Then he's hating ie8 for no reason

ie 3-6 yes. 7 is an improvement and 8 is quite good respecting standards. We can finally use css tables now. IE8 is a massive improvement for web developers and I wish (lol) that everyone would upgrade to it to make my life easier
