I remember in a thread that some people said they were long distance runners. I currently run high school cross country and for my pre-season preparation I've been doing distance runs daily. Usually ranging from around 6.3 miles to 8.4. Anyway, throughout these runs I constantly get craps, specifically, in my stomach. I always try to space out my eating habits so I have at least four hours from when I ate last and when I run. But I still get them. Is it possible that I'm not eating enough? Or should I space out my time even better? I run through the cramps, but they are annoying because slow my times down.

eat banana's and drink water before you run, dehydration and lack of potassium can cause cramps

also, I usually just run through the cramps, its hard at first, but now I can usually do it pretty easily.

Like the guy above me said, drink a lot of water.

What do you run the 3.2 mile in? I used to run XC, I think the best I ever did was 18:30.
