Sawyer just cracks me up. Horrible character really, I mean, he's just such a dick. I don't get a badass vibe from him or anything, more of a joke character. Also Jack seems to have been side-lined a bit lately.

yeah, he's the kind of character that even tho his parents got fucked over when he was little i still dont feel sorry for him

he'd probably be the kind of guy who dies crying like the little whiny annoying fuck he really is inside...

I love Sawyer. I think I'm in the minority, here.

Sure, he's kind of one dimensional, but his constant antagonizing of everyone on the island is one of the only things that interests me about this show.

Last week after seeing the preview I said that this would be a horrible filler ep that answers no questions. And even though thats what this ep was, I actually liked it.

Sawyer is the man.

I liked this episode based on
the fact that it reinforces more than likely that the crash wasn't an accident in anyway. These survivors were chosen to be on the plane, throught fate or some sinister plot their lives were intertwined before they stepped foot on the island.

Loved it. Fuck the haters (aka Demi, although I don't think it is actual hatred and more idiocy) but I love these episodes that are all about the characters. Yes, I enjoy the overarching sci-fi and adventure stuff, but I think that it needs grounded and interesting characters to work. Alias has lost the overarching storylines, but it has those strong characters to fall back on, and Lost will need that because its storyline has to last a long time.

Sawyer's backstory meeting up with Jack's still leaves some unanswered questions, but damnit if didn't also answer a lot. It was so interesting to see how Sawyer was totally played by Robert Patrick, why he was in Sydney, etc. We STILL don't know when he was arrested, although let's assume it was for firearms possession and/or shooting the guy.

The drinking game scene? One of the best character moments in the show thus far.

Great stuff all around.

I'm not a huge fan of Sawyer but I liked this episode a lot more than some of the other character ones we've had, especially Kate, Charlie and Sawyer's first episodes. Those were either really dull or really contrived. This one had some good stuff, and not least of all, a frequently smiling Kate, which is hot.

My definition of character moment: A moment where we see characters grow, express new emotions, or we learn an important piece of information about them not through exposition but simply through their actions and the way the scene plays out.

While cute, that isn't a character moment.

I thought it was a good episode. Maybe because I think Sawyer's an interesting character (who COULD be a great character).

That's asking a lot of an actor who's probably struggled with obesity his entire life. Not that I'm all that sympathetic, but you get my point.

I've said many times on here why he was arrested. To me it was pretty obvious he was in a bar fight. Why was he in a bar fight? I dunno. But he got sent to the pokey cuz he whacked some dude over the head with a bottle.

I thought I heard one of the major players was going to die this episode... Guess I heard wrong. Good episode... strong backstory.

I hate how people always know JUST what to say... Locke's speech about the dog was perfect right after Sawyer's dream... too perfect.
