I wouldn’t say excited, the take on the Dr Smith character which I really hated ruined a already average show.

I generally hate Netflix these days, for both the forced ideological stuff, and the flagging quality...

But I really enjoyed the first. I didn’t expect it to be that good, or well done at all. If this series keeps both the things I mentioned out of it, I’m probably up for another fun round.

Geez finally. It’s been like 3 years?

I’m into the show for the production value, but the robot looks terrible and the evil lady hams it up like crazy.

The only thing interesting about the first season was the robot, every other character was generic and boring. I might watch it just to find out what happens with the robot.

I hated that shitty cartoon villain hag so much.
I have no idea why they haven't thrown her out of an airlock, with all the obvious mischief she had caused.

Other than that, it was fine, I guess.

I watched S1 6 months ago. Casting unknown actors, building physical sets and props and not throwing money on bad CGI? I'm a fan. Thrilling writing, cinematography and great general scifi atmosphere afforded by high production values. I get the same feels while watching Jurassic Park. They did save expenses where it wasn't noticeable - recycling the ship interior set was clever.

I do hope they try something less tropey with Dr. Smith. She either gets redemption or stays awful.

Season 1 was enjoyable. It's one of those shows I didn't think was particularly good but I still kept watching every day. The production values were great and I liked how things picked up towards the end.

The only part I didn't like was the annoying cartoonish evil doctor. I didn't think she was memorable or interesting and she just came across as annoying. And with the whole planetary apocalypse and evil robots she felt unneeded as an additional threat.

I really liked season one at the beginning, but about half way through I started to lose interest.

I will give it a chance, but I am thinking about canceling Netflix soon.

First season was meh, the child was retarded and the villain just hilariously bad...

I hope for something much better on the second season.

Mother, father and the robot were the only "good" things...

Also the hot daughters.

Not really. I hated the Dr Smith because they didn't write her as a smart character. They made the other characters around her dumber than she is.

Well, you can't have lost in space without Dr Smith.

The villain actress was very good even with the poor material she had, you are gonna hate that woman by the end of the season, mission accomplished i guess.

I didn't hate her I just rolled my eyes every time she was on screen.

I liked the show. Overall a feel good family adventure with an interesting take on the robot.

The Doctor was so annoyingly evil you’d need to shoot her in the face at first sight by now but I like how she manages to stay alive.

First season was mediocre in just about every way, yet still compelling enough for me to be interested in watching a second season. Maybe it is just nostalgia. The original was one of my three favorites as a kid: Lost in Space, Gilligan's Island, and Star Trek.

Any sci-fi show worth two seconds of your time is a joke on S1. Sci-fi shows only really even start on S2.

Battlestar Galactica and The Expanse are the only sci-fi shows that hit the ground running immediately in S1.

Yes and no. The only reason no is because the first season was so good I'm not sure if they can keep the momentum up.

Lost in the Space will never become Battlestar Galactica, it's a feel good show about a family and how the overcome difficulties by sticking together. Having said that I'm watching season 2 and it seems more interesting and fun than season 1.

S1 was a bit boring but got better near the end. I was looking forward to S2 but alas I don't hace Internet access on my computer anymore.

I'm a couple of episodes in and I like s2. I wish they went to more places but I like that they science their way out of things in fairly plausible ways, rather than "subspace dish deflector hyperspace alteration frequency phase shifts" or whatever technobabble lots of sci fi shows fall back on. I also feel like they add a diverse(ish) cast in a more organic way which I appreciate.

Now I'm just waiting for a Don and Penny countdown timer because that is the most thirsty relationship in the show :p

I’m sure Parker Posey is a nice person in real life, but she is way too good at playing this villain. The amount of actual malice I feel for this character, lol.

I’m a few episodes in, and the season is good so far. I love the first two episodes dealing with trying to escape from that crazy planet, and finding it’s secret. I’ll leave that for people to discover themselves.

I never watched the old shows or movies, but I like how we get really cool, heady sci-fi concepts, settings, planets, and stories in this seeming family show, because there isn’t much of that to be found at a quality, high-budget level anymore, and certainly not 16 hours of it.

Come to think of it, when was the last time a positive portrayal of a loving, supportive family was the focus of much of anything? So that’s pretty cool too.

I generally can't stand race or gender swapping established characters but this is definitely one of those exceptions. She's a great Dr. Smith taking everything you love-hated about the original but even more manipulative. And for a middle-aged woman is rather easy on the eyes to boot.

Just finished the 2nd series.....I think it needs to move past the robot or robots being central to the plot
it needs a new bad guy or threat as much of this series didn’t really go anywhere.....just one long ship ride and escape

dr Smith was great until she stated trying to be the hero and the whole scarecrow storyline felt useless by the end
I think series 1 was better only because you went into it with no knowledge but this series felt drawn out and treaded the same ground as before.

Season 2 is much better than the first. You don’t have many flashbacks breaking up the forward progress of the story and it has more focus on the Robinsons than random colonists.

The drip fed mystery of the Geth robots is a bit underwhelming but I’m hoping that that gets wrapped up soon.

I wonder if they’ll keep doing 1 year time skips. With so many young actors, it could help with the aging issue the longer the series runs.
